I guess, if it wasn't otherwise stated, he was taking contact, eh?

My guess was he broke ribs in that crash, but if he is taking contact already it probably wasn't quite that serious.

I am wondering if it was concussion related, he wasn't at the home opener when they did all the intros and such (Pospisil was), and my first thought was light and noise sensitivity.

Hanley - Weegar had a bad game against STL, finishing the night with a -3. That's why I don't mind the change for a game. If Miro has a good game he earns another, otherwise one of Bean and Pachal gets a chance. You can even switch back to Hanley mid game.

I hope Honzek gets to build on a strong game tonight. That said, I still want to see Zary with Kadri, and Coronato with Backlund.

This will probably be a rough one, but I'm just hoping for the best. Go Flames!

Big game tonight, we need to do our part to make sure Vegas misses the playoffs and we get their lottery pick

I hope Gridin gets more ice time this game. Honestly, with Huberdeau coming back soon, I would like to see Gridin get every opportunity possible to keep that top 6 spot and not just have it be automatically awarded back to Huberdeau.

If they bury their open net chances they can beat anyone I think.

Lost 4-2 to the Blues. Should have won 8-4.

It all comes down to finishing. They do everything else well enough to win games.

Gridin and Huberdeau should bump Sharangovich and Farabee out of the top 6.

Farabee or Sharky would get bumped out of the top-6 before Gridin I think.

I'm not saying a disagree, but Huska is playing Farabee 19 mins a night so far and the underlying stats say he has been good.

I doubt he gets demoted to the 4th line.

I'm certain, unless he has a big game that Gridin will be demoted when Huberdeau is back. Zary is already not playing very much, and he also has been decent to start the year and deserves more than 12+ a night.

Klapka is going to see the press box a bit too. Hasn't been very good but not really playing much and 3-6 games isn't a long enough look IMO for a guy that could use more than 12 a night to show what he has.

The Flames have Huberdeau and Pospisil injured, yet Zary and Klapka are on the 4th line getting just over 12 mins a game. Gridin making the team has added to this issue. I really hope he doesn't get demoted, but it is looking like he will once Huberdeau is back.

Conny needs to make a move so some of these guys can play.
Conny needs to make some trades. He has to start cleaning up a few messes.

Don’t disagree with anything you are saying.

But I will ask why does Sharangovich seem to get a pass all of the time. There are going to be players out performing him that are going to get demoted or be stuck on the 4th line getting 10 minutes or less a night.

While he seems to fly under the radar on the second line doing essentially nothing.

I agree and I said this would happen in the summer. People will blame Huska for his lines and lineup choices, but his job is to win games. He will coach to win, and he should coach to win.

Very early, but the top 7 forwards in ice time are Kadri, Farabee, Frost, Backlund, Coleman, Coronato and Sharangovich.

Parekh is averaging 17 mins and has been scratched.

Still very early, but the team is also had some injuries to deal with and Huberdeau is going to play big minutes when he is back.

The Flames are the 7th youngest team in the NHL. The Flames trouble isn't older players in the way. The Flames trouble is that the younger players are taking the bull by the horns.

We have a lot of those type of players unfortunately.

Lots of effort and heart. Score on an open net from 5 feet away? Not a chance, and Gridin is going to potentially get launched?

Makes zero sense.

Like hearing what Huska has to say about Honzek and his size and speed. Sounds like he may also be a fit moving forward. Interesting decisions coming over the next few days.
