Lets say that for whatever reason Calgary extends Andersson.

Weegar-Andersson
Bahl-Parekh
Kuznetsov-Brzustewicz
Pachal

Could work out down the road maybe? It allows 2 more D prospects to slide in as they're ready.

Maybe im just coping lol.

Guessing Miromanov will be the odd man out in the D list.

Forwards a bit tougher. Guessing 3 out of Morton, Kerins, Honzek, Kirkland will be waived.

Assuming 13 forwards and 8 D with the Andersson situation

I predict Miromanov & Bean will hit the wire.

Hope you're all right. Keeping Miromanov is insane.

Agreed, though Honzek is waiver exempt, I think he will be an odd man out

This year is the silly season for the depth. Anderssons situation is going to play out which is logjamming any potential spots for Kuznetsov or Solo (I wanted to put Grushnikovs name here too but he's been MIA all camp). Then there's the FW group which is a bit less impacted but man are the Flames overloaded with wingers. Left shot wingers too. Need a few more RHS sprinkled in throughout the entire depth. And obviously centers. Has anyone figured out we still need a top 6 caliber RHS center yet?

My guess Kerins and Morton are both waived, Kirkland getting the 4th line center spot

Basically the Flames, go with all 13 forwards with the 1 way.

I'm guessing Kirkland is going to be sent down, at least one of Morton and Kerins will be kept up..

I don't know if Kerins is an NHLer but if he keeps showing well, I think you have to keep him on the roster. How many times has Conroy talked about the challenges of finding good, young centres? We might have one.

Morton or Kirkland can join him as one of the 14 forwards. On D, waive Miro, Solo and Bean. Protect Kuznetsov.

It would be stupid to waive Kerins in favour of a career AHLer and a 26 year old who put up 45 points last year in AHL. It’s possible Kirkland and Morton are serviceable 4th line centres but Kerins upside is way beyond that. Not sure what else he has to prove to not get an extended look

I wonder if there's a market for skilled guys the Flames don't want?

I doubt Kerins can be a 4th line guy, if he makes the team has to be a top 9 winger. Not sure how he can displace one of the wingers, for sure not one of the top 3 centers.

4th line center, in my view is between Morton, Kirkland and Pospisil

I don't think CGY risks losing Kerins, there's a number of teams who could probably pick him up and afford to keep him in NHL for a bit.

Love Cooley's attitude but not sure he's good enough to stick in the NHL.

Anyone else getting worried that Huberdeau is entering the season with an injury that will nag him all year?

My understanding is yes. He might be going on waivers tomorrow.
