This gives me vibes of the Flames and Avalanche from 2019. Flames sort of came from nowhere to have the best record in the Conference and drew the 90 point up and coming Avs. We know how that went. Montreal has some nice young pieces in Hutson, Slavkovski, and now Demidov. I also think Nick Suzuki is somewhat underrated.
I'll go with the Canadiens to pull the upset here in 6.

John Bartlett, Garry Galley, and Shawn McKenzie will be the SN announcers for this series.

I think the Habs’ youth make this a series but the Caps prevail in 6.

My kid told me Montreal is the youngest team to ever make the playoffs. I love the young core of this team. Still some warts. Laine is great on the powerplay, but you want to shoot him into the sun 5 on 5. Defence has some lapses. Goaltending has been pretty good. Suzuki is incredible, Team Canada would be wise to look at him for the Olympic team.

Habs are my grandpas favourite team. I still remember when we watched the 93 finals when he came to visit. I liked the Kings because of their jerseys, and we made a friendly bet which I lost. I had zero understanding of what a best of 7 series was, because after the Habs won I kept telling him there are more games to play because its a 7 game series.

On paper, this is the biggest mismatch of the playoffs.
In reality, it's the 2nd biggest mismatch of the playoffs.

Go Habs!
The more games in that raucous Bell Centre the better.

Giveaway by Matheson leads to another prime Caps scoring chance. Montembault keeping the Habs barely treading water.

Was listening on 960 and the announcers were incredibly biased towards the caps. Obviously American or even capitals feed.
