Good thing he broke a signing.

Coincidentally, he may not be very good at breaking those either.

Be interesting to see the bonuses on this. At those salaries with the decline - it screams send to Arizona or buy out at the end of the deal. Of course if its all bonuses - that might not be an option.

Obviously Lindholm has put up better numbers than Horvat and better numbers than Meier over the past three seasons so he may be looking for a little more than 8.8 million a year.

Playing with two 100pt wingers, last year he showed what his production is without them. If the Flames sign him for that number or more we are screwed.

Had the same number of points as Meier last year without those wingers.

Meier had twice the amount of goals and is a play driver. Lindholm is a solid all around center but goes invisible on offence for stretches

Lindholm v. Meier: Lindholm a centre, and better two way. Meier younger and more of a sniper last year (but not the year before). But Meier kinda flopped in the POs. 2goals, 2 assists in 11 games. When you are brought in to score, that's not gonna cut it. Lindholm wasn't expected to be the producer postseason but he still had 5 goals and 9 points in 12 games last time they were in, so a bit better.
