Oh, it's very simple. The Sharks are so bad that they routinely give up an average of 6 goals per game. So far this season, they have given up 127 goals in 34 games, and 127 ÷ 34 = 3.74, which, of course, rounds off to 6. So you see, scoring 12 on them in two games is nothing to give anyone credit for.
Or you could count goal differential instead. The Sharks get outscored by an average of 3.5 goals per game. Their goal differential over those 34 games is –24, and –24 ÷ 34 = –0.71, which again is practically identical to –3.5.
Plus the Flames didn't even earn those 12 goals for or 5 against, because reasons.
See? Simple arithmetic!
