“Can you write a letter to Darryl Sutter about how I like lots of goals in a game?”

Sure, here is a letter you can use:
Dear Darryl Sutter,
I am a big fan of the Calgary Flames and I love watching your games. One thing I particularly enjoy is when there are lots of goals scored. I find that high-scoring games are exciting and entertaining, and they make for a great hockey experience.
As a coach, I know you must have a lot of strategies and tactics in place to help your team score goals and win games. I just wanted to let you know that, as a fan, I appreciate the effort you and your players put into creating opportunities and putting the puck in the net.
Thank you for bringing so much excitement and passion to the game of hockey. I look forward to many more thrilling, high-scoring games from the Flames.
Sincerely, Wormius

The flames have had their fair share of 4-3+ losses too. Those games are typically a defensive s*** show and just as painful to watch. Playing looser isn't going to automatically get this team making better passes and shooting better.
Sorry guys but this team is like watching paint dry, Sutter's system is turning Huberdeau into 60 pt player, Weegar is hesitant to jump up into the rush for fear of Sutter's wrath and Treliving's inability to get a top RW puts me to sleep.
Again, sorry but:
NSFW!

While I don't think just scoring more goals would make this team more fun to watch (Wouldn't hurt for sure) I find this team extremely boring to watch, to the point I sometimes forget to flip back after the intermission or change to another show for half the game, find myself playing on my phone, etc.
It reminds me of the Ward teams that were painful to watch.
It does seem like everything this team does is slower and less creative then the opposition. The only thing we do better on a daily basis is big hits - Or at least Zadarov does which gives the game some excitement
The powerplays are a perfect example. I can't remember witnessing a PP that moves so slow and deliberately.
Will this new style translate into success in the 2nd half and playoffs? I guess we will see. But it sure isnt making for entertaining hockey most nights - Especially not at the level of last season

The Flames were 6th in scoring last year with the same coach.
They were third in shots on goal, 4th in scoring chances, and 11th in high danger chances.
They lost their most creative playing driving forward to free agency.
And now it's the system?
Seems like a lazy conclusion to me.

This thread seems as good as an excuse as any to remember this beautiful gem. The quality here isn’t as high as this post, of course, but the theme is consistent:

I was pleased that it irritated him.
I didn't let him reply and said what do you think all the fans are here to be all kissy kissy.
I don't like him and I make no bones about it.

That’s last year. This year is a whole different story unfortunately. It’s like watching a bunch of freaking robots playing safe so they don’t piss off the coach. Zero attempt at creativity anymore
