Both McKenzie and Friedman have said that it looks like Weegar might be traded

It makes sense considering the addition of Nutivaara. Still, lots of righties so it's a bit of an unbalanced lineup.

Man I can't help but be jealous of that Gudas contract.

Good signing by the Panthers. I have had hopes of Gudas to the Flames for a number of years now. Functional toughness is huge.
Thought Dubas would have gone hard after him as that's such a good fit (and maybe he did).

Good price for the Panthers. Who knew players actually wanted to sign with that team.

I think lots of players would love to sign there to play in Miami.
The problem is that it attracts players that care more about climate and lifestyle than winning. There have been a lot of free agents that have signed there just to go into semi-retirement while still earning a cheque.

Again, the arena is in Sunrise, which is a suburb of Fort Lauderdale. It's within an hour of downtown Miami, but it sure ain't close.
Also, who signed that went into semi-retirement? The only one I can think of was Jovanovski.

Great value signing by Florida. Lower tax rate definitely helps as well

It's subjective of course, but Bobrovsky comes to mind.
I am projecting a little, I will admit. I would totally sign there for the lifestyle and climate without a care about winning anything.
