Man, there's not even anything particularly interesting about the choices for this one. Pass.

Those early years had a lot of "cups of coffee", but Labraaten was halfway decent.
Perry Berezan was a solid role player throughout most of the 80s. I have a soft spot for him.
Steve Chiasson put together a couple of strong years, but nothing outstanding and he wasn't here that long.
The exact same thing could be said for Andrew Cassels. A couple of decent years, but nothing noteworthy.
People seem to have fond memories for Andrew Ference, but he only played 2 full years here and he rag dolled Stempniak as a member of the Oilers. Booooooo!!!
Jokinen had 2 stints with the Flames, and his slightly better tenure was under this number. It looked like we really had a complete team when he came, and early returns were good, only to have our hopes dashed in the playoffs and into next season. Hard to give it to Jokinen because of that.
There's been a lot of filler wearing this number for a very long time. I am really struggling on picking one of these guys. For tenure, intangibles, and being on a cup winner, I'm going with Berezan.

Went with Ference, but could also make a case for Jokinen. I wish the Iginla/Jokinen pairing had worked out. Their first game together had been absolutely amazing.

Jokinen was the Flames best player in the 2009 playoffs. If not for losing most of the team's defence just before the playoffs started, that team could have gone on a long run.
Berezan was traded at the deadline in 1989, so he wasn't part of the Cup winning team.

Have to go with Andy here, he really was a great player for the Flames.
The team never was the same after trading him, they went from a tight knit family to something else. A couple of players on that team have mentioned this as fact.
Plus how can you not love the guy, he is on the ice in Boston as the Cup is being handed around and he goes out of his way to mention the Flames, specifically Jarome and Regehr as people he is thinking of after finally winning it and how he wishes he could have shared it with them.
My second pick would have been Hath, just above Cassels and Perry.

Oilers suck.
Sorry, I should have said Berezan contributed to a cup winning team. He was a warrior and did a lot of the heavy lifting in a checking role for the bulk of that year. I simply forgot he was traded at the deadline.

Lost most of my respect for Ference when he went to the oil. I don't care if he was on CP, I thought he was very over rated.
I hear that. Liked him when we first got him but in time, it became apparent he was nothing more than a 5/6. Was pumped when he was part of the stuart trade who was a legit top 4. Thought it was overblown that he was such a lynchpin in the room that the team lost something without him. If the team was truly that fragile mentally, they never had a chance to start with I always thought. The 07 flames just weren't that good to begin with.
Hard to believe but since 95 we've had only 5 seasons where the team was actually worth watching: 04, 06, 09, 15 and 19. Not sure how it relates to Ference other than to two of those years were while he was here. I think the defensive success of 04 and 06 really inflated his perceived role on the team. He was always just a bit player.

Berezan was a pretty important piece of our Cup win. Everyone else on that list did pretty much the exact opposite of that. Closest is Ferrence in '04, but he's an Oiler so #### that.
Berezan wins.
Edit: annnd Berezan didn't even play for us in the playoffs that year. He was traded for Brian McLellan halfway through the season. Why are all my Flames memories from when I was a kid so jumbled?
