Arizona is my preferred opponent. Colorado seems to be getting depth scoring recently. Minnesota will hack and slash away in the first round. Dallas is a big team and we appear to have no answers for Bishop currently. Vegas is the toughest team of the list.

I actually chose the Avs. They are banged up bad right now and I also worry about the speed game but I think the Yotes are quicker.

Of course I would prefer to play Arizona out of all those options. Probably not gonna happen though.
From the rest of the list I'd be comfortable facing the Avs. I think they're top heavy and their goaltending isn't a difference maker that you would need in the playoffs. The Flames have the depth to beat them and are unlikely to be drastically out-goaltended in a series. That's the ideal matchup as far as I can see.

Landeskog is back tonight and Rantanen should be back well before playoffs. The only other guy they're missing is Kamenev (5pts in 23gp).

I think Dallas would be our worst matchup tbh

Losing to Dallas helped our cause to not face them. Now probably won't unless they lose out. And if they do, then they will be a favorable matchup struggling without Bishop.

I think the Flames have 8 wins in the last 9 games against the Avs, so you couldn't ask for a better first round match-up really.

Backlund has been fantastic against MacKinnon as well.
In the 3 games this season:
MacKinnon: 2 pts, -1
Backlund: 4 pts, +8

McDavid and the Oilers say hello. Lack of depth is a killer, especially in the playoffs. One line teams are not built for the playoffs.
I chose Ari, it would be like Seattle when the Blue Jays visit the Mariners, more away fans than home fans.

Still say any of them. Whole new game in the playoffs and everybody needs to show up. Brian Elliot didn't get the memo a few years back.

Colorado only 3 back of Dallas but I think with the remaining schedule it should allow the Stars to keep ahead. Hopefully...
Colorado: St.Louis, Edmonton, Winnipeg, San Jose
Dallas: Vancouver, Philadelphia, Chicago, Minnesota

Any matchup is a challenge. Playoffs are a different beast. It's a war of attrition. Keep the team healthy first and foremost. Flames will take any opponent on.
