Pringle is a video analyst and sigalet is a goalie coach. That's three actual assistant coaches.

I would imagine 3 on the bench, 1 in the press box and 1 doing the video editing

Dave Cameron on the Fan960 says he doesn't know what his role is yet, they are figuring that out today.

happens all the time, Gulutzen himself was one. Even the 89 Cup Winning Flames had Tom Watt as an assistant, he was an experienced NHL head coach before coming here

Would have hated Cameron if he was hired as the heacd coachj, but like having someone with head coach experience as an assistant. Just don't put him in charge of special teams

Gully was a head coach for Dallas before being an assistant for Vancouver.

I'm willing to give the new coaching staff a blank slate. I won't accept the excuse of undoing Hartley's "bad habits" if the team looks like a steaming turd for the first two months though.
Kind of an odd hire though in all honesty.

Gulutzan on 960:
Gulutzan says Cameron will be in charge of the pp.
Also said Cameron and Gelinas will handle the Forwards
Jerrard will handle the d-men and PK.
Gulutzan says Gelinas will be upstairs and not behind the bench for the video reviews. Maybe they bring Gelinas down for the 3rd period.

Glen Gulutzan on FAN960
- Long process, probably spoke to about 15 candidates, narrowed down to 4, and picked the final two.
- Debate and challenges with different coaches is good
- Lots of variety with the different coaches and where they came from, experience, which creates a well-rounded coaching staff
- Having RW gives a few extra options.
- Alex and Troy give you big bodies.
- Got speed and size to give the team a blend
- Leadership, Work Ethic was empathized
- Alex played very well in Dallas, fantastic net presence, great stick, hard to move around the net.
- Troy plays PK, net presences as well, leadership.
- Linden has the brains, hands, skills, not the biggest guy, but has put on weight. Can come play in a variety of places.
- Competitiveness on development camp, will reserve his judgements. However, he really likes what the coaches have done with the drills.
Paul Jerrard
- Paul will help the PK, finished 4th and 6th in the past two seasons with Utica
- In charge with the defense as well
- Worked with both young and veteran d-men
Dave Cameron & Martin Gelinas
- Will work with the forwards and the PP
- Everyone says Dave Cameron is a great communicator, great knowledge of the game
- Marty will be upstairs, with the possibly of being brought down in the third period

Kristen Odland @Kristen_Odland
Talked to Gulutzan this morning. He raved about Dave Cameron's PP knowledge. Said they'll be shooting the puck A LOT more.
Pat Steinberg @Fan960Steinberg
Just finished chatting with Glen Gulutzan. He says Jerrard will handle the D, Cameron and Gelinas will split forward duties. #Flames
Gulutzan says Cameron and Jerrard will join him on the bench. Gelinas will be the “eye in the sky”. #Flames
Also, Gulutzan says Cameron will handle the powerplay. Jerrard is in charge of the penalty kill. #Flames

I'm just glad they kept gelinas, even though the special teams he was in charge of didn't execute well, I think he's a smart hockey guy who's still learning and his dedication to fitness when he was a player leads me to believe he is the kind of person who will dedicate time and has the drive to push himself to be better.
