Gudbranson. Big, mean defensive defenseman with a right hand shot.
Not great with the puck though.

young Dmen cost quite a bit. Pretty good trade for both sides. I like it more for the Canucks at first glance

Just going off of games played, Gudbranson seems to get hurt fairly often. Not sure if that was a consideration for Florida.

As long as all teams involved in the trade are eliminated from the playoffs, it's all good.

I am a little surprised. Thought McCann was actually pretty good. Its hard to respect a canuck player, but I thought he was a decent young guy.
Probably why they traded him, to decent. Didn't make the dirty hit and did not know how to dive.
I heard Nigel Dawes is talking to Vancouver after his epic dive. Apparently he fits the team needs lol! I am kidding! Yet Damn I could see the nucks signing him.

McCann camp is not surprised, saw it coming, he is in Van working out with #Canucks trainers.

Hearing Gudbranson does not know about the trade, could be on holidays. #Canucks
Strange that Gudbranson doesn't know... teams usually wait until the players are informed before making announcement, but Canucks already put out a press release.

Trades can happen pretty much anytime. It's just that after the deadline any players you acquire aren't eligible for the playoffs.

I hate that we traded a 2nd and a 4th.
A story might come out soon on the reason McCann was traded.

Florida should get a good prospect with the 33rd overall pick too.

Strange to see both McCann and Shinkaruk dealt in a matter of months. Two guys it sounded like were going to be around for quite a while.
Gudbranson is a big kid and still has potential, so I can't rag on the Canucks too much, big young d-men that can play are pretty valuable assets.
Really interested to see who the Panthers take with the 2nd rounder. Could end up being a real solid player.

That Van 2nd could net you an easy Gudbranson replacement in Markus Miemelainen.

Gudbranson wildly overrated guy because he fights and hits a bit. He's a lug.

The second has a very low chance of being you a Gudbranson
