Bollig just isn't doing the things that he needs too for this team. You're not a skilled middle 6 player. Like killer_carlson said, know your role, and play it.
That goes for Ferland a bit too. While Ferland may have some more offensive upside from what we've seen, that shouldn't mean he should completely stop doing the things that got him where he is.
The Wild over the past few seasons have brought out the worst in the Flames. Backstrom wasn't very good but once again special teams is the difference in a Flames 2015/16 game as the Wild scored on the PP and the Flames wasted the majority of their opportunities.
Sure improving the goaltending is going to help but this organization really needs to take a hard look at what's going on with special teams as they are special bad.
Gelinas is in charge of this correct? I like the guy, fan favorite. Not getting it done, time to turf him. Hartley don't like it? Right now I would be surprised if Hartley made it to 40 games next season.
What were the biggest issues this year? Goaltending, hopefully fixed in the offseason. PK and PP, that's on Gelinas. Actually I blame Hartley for these long breakout passes. Worked last year well, this year every team is looking for this. Other teams have adapted, we haven't.
Somebody needs to be fired! Gelinas is the easy one. It baffles the mind how much talent we can have on the ice on a PP and be one of the worst in the league.
I am not that upset, Honest! Message needs to be sent to the coachs just like the players.
Stajan Bollig Raymond Jooris Bouma all had bad seasons. Colborne was bad too but statwise has lucked out these last few months. He is becoming a goal scorer by not using his hockey stick. Man I hope we don't reward that

It would be nice to see him knock someone on his ass every once in a while.

Were people really arguing that an average goalie would post an average save percentage in front of this team? The coverage on all but the second goal was typical of this season... terrible.

IDK, I have seen that argued a lot. Lots of"what if" analyses showing our goal differential assuming average save percentage.
Anyway Backstrom is not an average goalie. But Flames are an easy team to play against that gives up high quality scoring chances. Ken Dryden wouldn't change that.
The movie was just horrible, fyi. Please don't see it. So Zack Snyder-y: needlessly grim, boring, and stupid
Not to derail the thread but I disagree with this. I liked the movie. Good action scenes, semi plausible story. Lois Lane and Lex Luther were awful though.

plausible?
