From both teams websites it is straight up.

Also poor Oiler fans/media who thought RNH would get them Jones.

Good for both sides. Looks like the Nurse-Jones line won't happen after all

Murray/Jones has real potential to be the best pairing in the NHL if both players reach their potential.

Now they just need a #1 center lol

Watch them get Auston Matthews...

Did the NHL move up trade deadline day without telling anyone?

My gut is telling me it's a Capitals - Stars SCF. Which come to think of it, would be one hell of a final.

Not sure Ryan Murray has ever had the potential to be one of the best defensemen in the NHL. That was a WEAK draft.

Not at all. He was getting Neidermeyer comparisions from day one and all through his rookie year. Injury prone yes, but that's about it.

I was just going say, If you are Edmonton how do you not add to RNH to get Jones. It was right there for them.

Good ol fashioned hockey trade. Love it.

I am going to say that Columbus wins this trade. They get an awesome 21 year old defensemen already averaging 20 minutes a night. Those are very hard to find.

I am a little biased saying this only because I have never been sold on Ryan Johansen.

It has the potential to be win-win for both teams.

The biggest question is how much a problem is Johansen's reported attitude (if at all).

Columbus wins this deal, IMO. But it's a solid deal for both sides.

Johansen has the size to really fit the #1 center mold. RNH is just a pale imitation of a top line center.

If Johansen is available then I'm buying, I'm not going to use it as an excuse to go digging in the bargain bin for RNH and some Police Academy DVDs.

What an insane trade. Both teams addressing needs. I think 5 years down the road, CBJ come out as the clear winners
