From watching the first period of the Avs/Sharks it looks like Iginla is possessed out there looking for #600. He's very engaged in the play and Coach Roy has him playing top line minutes thus far.

In my opinion such a special player and a unique goal scorer in today's environment.

That was it for scoring until late in the third period, Koivu scored on the power play to make it 2-0, then 21 seconds later Datsyuk scored to make it 2-1. Koivu scored an empty net goal to make it 3-1 final.

Only a season and a half to go before Iggy returns to the flames and takes the cup from Gio.

Haha, Canucks getting stomped.

Sharks also 3-1 down, so far so good on the Pacific Division OOT.

If Colorado cans somehow hang on to this lead I wont mind it so much when Iginla gets his 600th on the 2nd. You just know that's whats going to happen.

Last night was a nice change, but they're still 30th in the league in both PK and PP.

Although earlier in the shift MacKinnon had a chance at the empty net and a hattrick, but instead dishes off to Iginla, but his shot was blocked.

Thankfully, he doesn't.

MacKinnon gets the hat trick on the empty netter. Iginla had it blocked before that.

Their PP is gonna be 30th for a while yet just because of how terrible it was in the first 25 games or so of the season.

The last 7-8 games now it's looked really good. I think the power play issues are mostly taken care of. It should never have been as bad as it was.
