Ok, since I don't know of your physical condition. Does it annoying you seeing really, REALLY fat people in those scooters who shop at Wal-Mart and buy nothing buy unhealthy shinguard??
Do you consider obeicity (sp?) a real disability?

Do you have a car which is suited best for a disabled person?
|
no vehicle. I rely on handi-bus, accesible taxi and LRT.
Follow up on that: is that fairly expensive? Does the government help you out with transportation costs at all?

I think that annoys everyone lol
some ofthose people i'm sure are lazy, pigs eating nothing but shinguard( i'm sure thats quite a common stereotype.) and some I'm sure have legitimate health problems leading to that.
so yean I guess if you have chronic condition causing obeseity to the point you can't walk, ya thats a real disability.

handi-bus costs one bus ticket per ride, but it's a bitch to get a booking due to high demand. We get a taxi card that provides us with $40/month (basically one trip for me). And AISH recipiants can now get monthly bus passes for $35.

For Flames tickets, do you get a special deal in the Wheelchair Section?
|
yes, we get a deal for attendants as most disabled people can't go out alone without assistance.
I've done that before. Free ticket.

Do you have a sense of humour about it?
I know I make fun of the fact I'm skinny all the time, there's a friend of mine that hangs out at the mall I used to work at (how I know him) I forget his condition, but he'd come into the store talk to us, then all of a sudden just say "Ok guys, nice talkin' to you, time for me to go for a walk... wait... I can't walk!"

Do you use an electric wheelchair, traditional wheelchair or both? Have you ever played any wheelchair sports?
If you use a traditional wheelchair...are you a good arm wrestler?

I've heard some people who are in wheelchairs have dreams that they can walk (maybe it was in a movie?). Have you had these types of dreams? Or when you are dreaming are you always in your wheelchair?

do you have feelings in all limbs and joints...if so do you have to live with a lot of pain? IF yes what type of medication and how much do you take a day. Is it all paid for by your Provincial Govnmt or are you forced into prostitution to pay for any amount??
If no feelings in some joints/limbs...do you get Phantom pains?
Do you find that smoking...ahem...Cannabis helps your condition and if so do you favor the legalization of the afforementioned?

Ya that's true.
I know a number of people in wheelchairs due to spinal cord injuries and every one says they're not paralyzed in their dreams.
Edit: Wouldn't be surprised if that wasn't the case for people born with a disability though.

Do you get player autographs easier? (get to go to front of the line) Do you take advantage of this if you do?
Is it annoying to get special treatment like this, or is it nice that people (players) reach out to you?

AISH recipiants get subsidized prescriptuon coverage, it's basically full coverage. I have all sensation everything works (wink)....
I do favor legalizing medical marijuana.....although I don't "need" it, it is good stuff though :P

umm, i dont really bother trying to get autographs, i'm sure I probably could get autographs easier if I really wanted to.
I have been able to meet a few of the guys on a few occasions through our power hockey. Boughner was our spokesman when he was here, so I got a chance to go get a photo with him on the saddledome ice.... met Turek right after we got him - was actually kinda funny, welcomed him to calgary, he said "crazy fataing weather you have here"
