This isn't a time to rush prospects. Are people forgetting this is a rebuild? Developing young players in the best possible environment for their long-term success is job one.

Ramo is not a terrible goalie. He's a goalie that let in a terrible goal in a winnable game and got run out of town.
He's also a pro and to some degree a vet. He's who we go with now, with the hope he can find his game.

Too Soon. Maybe mid-season, but not now. Let him find some success and consistency at the AHL level, then promote him to the bigs for a few games.

I would sooner trade for Scrivens than rush Gillies into the NHL.
I'm also a huge Gillies fan and I think he'll be our #1 goalie in the near future, but he needs seasoning and coaching. This season he needs to remain in the AHL the entire year. Next year, put him in the conversation for at least being on the team. Find a halfway decent veteran goalie somewhere in the meantime. That honestly could mean sticking with Ramo and Hiller. Maybe Ortio figures it out soon too, although he looks shakier than either of the two veterans.
Don't Baertschi this up.

Gillies is inconsistent in stockton, he's been pulled. Bad idea rushing him.
BT just has to stop procrastinating regarding goalies. Time to fix this mess.

And that place is not in the NHL, obviously.
So I like the Grant/Nakladal call-ups, for example. Leave the kids play where they belong.

Hide Gillies from this mess. No need to rush the guy.

There are your save percentages and not even one is at a pathetic .880
For those who think it is rushing Jon Gillies, I think I would prefer him to Cam Ward. You can always send Gillies back to the AHL if he doesn't perform.

This post unequivocally proves ramo is our best goalie

Bringing him up at all is a terrible idea, bringing him up for one game makes even less sense.

What a horrible idea to take our blue chip goaltending prospect and throw him into the deep end in the NHL on a team playing horrible team defense at the moment. Astounding anyone could see that as a good idea.
It's bad enough we had to toss Ortio in cold with how we're playing right now, but a young kid? Ugh.

100% agreed. I can't believe people are even suggesting it. He's our *fingers crossed* future number 1 goal-tender. Let's not ruin his confidence and/or development by bringing him up after a handful of AHL games...I mean really, what could go wrong?
