My precious republicans?
Wow. That's not who I am. I may have voted for Bush, but I voted for a democrat in our Senate race. I also voted against an ammendment to our state constitution that would ban same sex marraige. Don't paint me as right wing bible thumper. I'm not even close.
I've never heard anything about Robertson being a friend of Bush. I'm sure he's a supporter and probably a donor to his campaigns. That doesn't make him a friend though. If Bush has a visible friendship with Robertson, that's a problem IMO.
I wasn't trying to be patronizing. I was just defending Robertson's right to make an ass of himself. Nothing more. You're the one who brought negative connotations to what I said. All I said is we have free speech. I'm very well aware that we aren't the only ones. I didn't need the lesson, so why give it? That's the problem with Americans speaking positively about their guaranteed rights. Others assume we think we're the only one's who have those rights. Why?

Sorry, shouldn't have assumed the republicans were precious to you.
Granted I may have; like bill in your sig, overreacted to your free speech comment.
Did hear specifically he was a friend though, not just an associate or contributor. [/b][/quote]
Well, it's not like you slaughtered a wedding party or anything......
