Maybe the bears would get downtown faster if they'd actually get on the pride bus.

The faux concern about wild animals being spotted in the city is always mind boggling to me...I mean we live in the foothills of the rocky mountains...in Canada. Wildlife is kind of part of that environment.

City folks are funny that way. Folks who lose their mind over a deer in the city amuse me to no end.

People should be worried about the animals they don't spot.

Its actually kind of interesting, last year I was doing tax work for an East Indian couple who had just moved here, there is a tiny little patch of green-space outside my office and this couple spotted a few deer outside, it happens, no big deal, theres even the odd coyote now and then.

But they were absolutely terrified. To the point where they wouldnt even risk leaving my office to get to their car.

They wouldnt believe me either, I was telling them:

"Relax, its just some deer, they absolutely will not hurt you, its really no big deal."

I had to walk them to their car to 'protect' them.

Some people just arent used to it. Granted, if it was a bear thats a whole other ballgame entirely.
