Haha was your trailer fire from a meth lab bro? Jk
I haven't been voting (PITA on TT) but I've been reading the threads fairly religiously and have probably missed nearly a dozen of them.
Hard to wrap my head around the fact that if you asked me who I thought the future of the Flames D core would be this time last year or in the season before that, I'd not only struggle to flesh out an NHL-ready roster, but we actually really only have two guys I believed to be impact players. A top pairing of Gio/ Brodie.. Then what? A third pairing of Wotherspoon and Seilloff, IF everything went according to plan and their talents were actualized. In the middle, most of us hoped we'd dupe some GM into taking Wideman, maybe as part of a package we could add to that would see a projected top3/4 d prospect coming back our way (I was in the "the + would have to be a ++/+++" camp), and we'd likely finish bottom 5, allowing us to snag a guy like Kylington who would eventually round out the top 4. Short term, second pairing would either be our current guys, or one of them + a bandaid UFA.
Gio-Brodie
Hamilton-Engelland (((Franson)))
Wideman-Russel
Smid
Then we've got Wotherspoon, Hickey, Morrison, Nakladal(sp?), Kylington (

), Rafikov, Andersson, Cullkn, Kulak.. Tons of guys we mostly all feel have a legit shot to play in the NHL at some point, some of them likely for many years.
Daaaang Flames, u hot right now
