We really need our vets to step up tonight and put everything on the line like this is the do or die sort of game. I view these two games as being huge in our playoff chances. We beat the stars and they are 9 points behind us or something like that.
And if we can beat the slumping Canucks tomorrow night, I think we can say we are still in it and have a really good chance at the playoffs.

I think Gio and Brodie have a monster game and Monahan proves yet again that he is a 1st line centre and scores a goal and setups up another.
I agree. He led the Adirondack Flames D in +/- when we called him up so that's a promising sign. Also gives us a chance to get a look at him since we couldn't in the preseason. Guess we'll see!
With the Jets missing all four of their top 4 defenders the Flames need to build a lead on them now if they want a playoff spot. Need a win tonight. Lets go Flames!

Don't like this. Bolig has been the Flames worst regular forward this year by a fairly wide margin, Bouma is a more effective player on the wing, and Stajan is a better option to play a shutdown role freeing up Monahan from some tougher minutes. He's also the best faceoff guy on the team. All around thumbs down.
Stajan is building up his fitness and fatigue levels as a result of coming back from injury. Don't hire him onto his next job as a Walmart greeter just yet.
really important pair of games... win them both and they are in great shape and right back in the mix by moving ahead of Van and possibly Wpg, and keeping Dallas down. Lose them both and they find themselves in 10th with Dallas breathing down their necks in 11th.
