That's tough...a couple mistakes and a wicked pp goal against. That's 5, now they need a long winning streak to even it out.

This was not JG's fault. Brodie broke on the outside in a tie game leaving Gio to fend for himself...Sometimes his aggressiveness is a hinderance.

Good effort in the first 40, but the wheels fell off for some reason in the 3rd period. Disappointing when you consider the Flames were rested and Chicago played last night. Difference between an experienced team and the Flames.

Still, Calgary only lost by a goal in the 3rd, so they can take that away and move forward.

I think they'll snap this winless skid against the Rangers and the Dallas game afterwards is winnable.

Johnny blew a tire but the D were being very aggressive too. More often than not johnny makes that play though

I'm convinced Flames are back down to Earth. They're still competing great since they been in each of the games they lost, but the talent, or rather the belief lack of is showing since there's many times they have trouble controlling the puck, or just missing passes and shots on nets, while the other team is doing a better job on those skills, and it's what's been making the difference. This is especially notable on the power plays.

They have played some of their best hockey, but that this period was a team with confidence versus a team that hesitated

The kids are fine, the Vets have been good, the coaching and management have been swell.
What were people expecting?
A 55 win season?

Thought we played better than we did in Pittsburgh. Not a bad game overall just a little too passive and some poor passing. Not even that upset. Just sick of losing

Guess the early season critics were right, the Flames were just unsustainable. Once that high shooting percentage dropped down they haven't looked very threatening at all with the puck. Coupled with the major defensive gaffs showing up regularly now and this could be a very long month

How is it not JG's fault? He is the one that turned the puck over and caused the whole problem. I've been a critic of Brodie the last few games, but that wasn't his fault at all. When you have numbers, you have to get the puck deep. JG didn't.

Actually, it was an entire line mistake. Over-committed on the rush and left themselves wide open for a turnover at the offensive blueline.

Positive spin = The fact the team held so much confidence in #13 that they merely assumed he would carry it into the zone and set something up that they were willing to take the risk is pretty interesting.

Dont know if the Flames sat back or hesitated. They were pushed back.

Was going to say just that. Look at Chicago's payroll for next year. $65 million committed for 14 players. Help's take the edge off a little...
