Ray Ferraro is saying the same thing on Leafs Lunch TSN radio. (paraphrasing) "Boy, you can see why they like Bennett" and "Johnny makes it look easy"(the goal undressing the D-man in game 1)..etc.

Any predictions tonight? Do our top prospects out shine their's? I was hoping to see Jake Virtanen but he is injured/recovering.

I think the boys win and have a more disciplined game. 5-3 Flames. 2 for Johnny.

i think it would be smart to not play gaudreau. He's done exactly what they probably wanted out of him this tournament, which is create opportunities offensively for himself and his line.

Rest up johnny, the real test comes next week when you'll have pro linemates, but also pro defenders to line up against.

Gaudreau-Bennett- Carroll is a line.
Ferland-Granlund-Smith is another. I like it. Granlund can carry Smith better IMO.

In regards to the Flames D prospects, I really feel like Brandon Hickey is going to be the saving grace out of all of them. Too bad he's in the NCAA and we won't see him for a couple of years.

what are people's thoughts on the forwards, excluding gaudreau/bennet/granlund/ferland?

Personally, i think klimchuk has had a very quiet few games, hoping to hear of him more tonight.

That Klimchuk and Arnold pairing with BVB should be a very effective third line. And amazing PK unit.

I've liked Jooris' game.

I'm on the other side about Klimchuk, he's not producing poi ts but he's been very effective in every other aspect of the game. I've really enjoyed watching him. His speed is up there too, did not expect him to be that quick, great hustle.

I agree, he has also seen a lot of pk time and I thought he was pretty effective. Would still like to see some offence from him tonight though.

Editing in one more thought, Arnold hasn't quit a shift yet. He stood out to me by being the hardest working guy on the ice. I don't think he will have any problems playing the system in this organization.

I thought they would be icing all of the try-outs, to give them one last shot to impress for main camp. But Hathaway and Gedig are the only non-signed players. Huska appeared to like the play of Hathaway -- has anyone noticed Gedig?

I wish Poirier was playing in this tournament. A line of Gaudreau/Bennett/Poirier would have been incredibly fun to watch.

I can see both Klimchuk and Arnold as key 3rd line players and a great PK tandem in the not-so-distant future.

We'll possibly see Gaudreau/Bennett/Poirier in pre-season.

What is the status of Porier right now? I haven't heard anything about him and I think he actually has a s much of a chance making the team as anyone.

Default Canuck Prospects lineup

I believe the Canucks ended up bringing in ten or more invitees that aren't signed or drafted by them. Some to have a look at and others simply to fill holes as several of their prospects are either recovering from injury or sick (mono). Also a bit curious is that they didn't bring several of their young players from Utica or Linden Vey but they musthave their reasons. Still, they should still be able to dress a competative team for this evenings game but minus some of their better prospects in McCann and Virtanen.
