Iceland has a famous FB page, I love it, since its such a small country people truly get shamed here for bad parking, which is a plague in Iceland.

Some are pretty bad but some are meh. I have no problem with a motor home parking at the back of a parking lot away from all the other cars. I also try no to judge people parked over the line unless I see them park like an a-hole.
People shouldn't be allowed to buy a truck unless that pass a parking test imo. I drive a 1-ton and they are not really that hard to park. Backing in to stalls makes everything much easier.

Here's the Icelandic group, I think anyone can view the pictures.
https://www.facebook.com/groups/311682785606328/photos/
The shaming here is pretty intense, the most famous one is of a former footballer who has this nice SUV with the license plate NR1 DAD, and he's been caught numerous times parking like a ######, the article below shows his worst one taking up two handicap spots AND blocking the walk way into the store. It was all over the news and Iceland's NY Eve comedy show did a bit on it, mocking him.
http://www.pressan.is/Frettir/Lesafr...eina-gangbraut
In the comedy show they mocked him by showing him driving up to the helipad at the hospital, where he parks on the landing strip, stopping the arriving helicopter from landing.

It is a dually, not a lifted F150. I imagine the guy driving it owns more carhartt than affliction and his other ride is a combine if we are throwing out stereotypes.

I heartily endorse more Calgary/Alberta based shaming accounts.

I totally agree. If someone wants to park on an angle like that and they're far from everyone else in the lot, then who really cares? I know that when I have had my trailer on I have parked like that and its partly out of courtesy because there is no way I can get it to fit easily where everyone else is parked.

I'm all for shaming blatently ignorant/rude parkers, but a lot of their pictures are people who are lightly encroaching the parking lines. Like, really? Does that really need online shaming?

I agree, its the people who HAVE to park right next to the doors because its their absolute favourite thing and they MUST do it and then take up 3 spots that deserve shaming.
At the same time, maybe dont bring your motorhome to Chinook where every parking stall is worth it's weight in gold.
And seriously, people with big trucks had better either learn to park them or take them back and get a vehicle they're qualified to drive.

The thing is, in most cases there is no reason to not park properly other than general laziness. In just about every case where a person is parked too close to the car next to them or extremely close to the line, all it would have taken would be for them to back up and park again, with more care the second time.
People just generally don't give a fata and as long as they are parked, they don't care about who they are affecting with what they are doing.

There is a Facebook group for Lethbridge Parking Wars. Same thing. The only problem I have with it is people post pics of a truck and trailer taking up 3-4 spots at the back of the parking lot where nobody else parks. What else is the person supposed to do? The majority of the pics are of trucks parking over a line.

Theres your problem right there. I'm relatively certain that if there is one resource that Lethbridge has in ample supply it would be parking.
