Some of you seem to think going to the WJ's will automatically make a player a superstar.

More importantly with these one goal games, is they could have easily went the other way. That's a very good sign

Regarding Monahan. I think we were all prepared for these lulls throughout the season.

He'll be fine but is just on a downswing. whether its the foot or whatever, just have to take it all in stride.

As for the WJC, meh neither for or against it but the team feels he should stay so thats that. He also has to learn how to deal with these little slumps too to even out the consistency aspect of his development, so you won't hear an argument from me about him not going to the WJC.

Was a good game today from what I saw, Colborne keeps improving so thats good.
Losing Russell hurts, hopefully he isnt out long.

Dont feel the same about Glencross though. The knee twisting like that didnt look too good. And from his play this year, not a bad thing if they let him heal that up to %100.

Ramo with another solid outting, I think Berra gets the nod against St.Louis though.

One small step closer to Ekblad and it didn't hurt at all. See this I'm okay with, if we're going to lose games.

Guess who's been a very pleasant surprise this year? That's right, it's Shane O'Brien!

He's put in around 10 mins per game, shown much better puck skills than I expected, and hasn't displayed the pendant for stupidity that I remembered when he was with other teams. And a $2M cap hit for one more year is fine.

I don't buy that. It's pretty hard to tie the game and/or take the lead. A lot of those games we weren't the better team and didn't deserve the win.

We are putting in effort which is a good sign.

Great game for Colborne, loved seeing him use his size and reach a few times that almost resulted in goals.

I'm still trying to figure out what David Jones brings to this team. He's not horrible or costing the team wins, but he's just............there. Wish he had one quality about him that would really help the team out.

Loved the effort displayed by this team.

Backs, Byron buzzing all night long, Cammy going end to end with a quick answer to Crosbys goal, Smid hustling back so hard he slams into the boards and Colborne driving the net every chance he had.

Oh yeah and Gio throwing his weight around

It must be forbidden by the hockey gods for the Flames to have both skill and work ethic at the same time.

Right now, I'll settle for the latter. The team continues to garner respect from opponents, despite their record.

Brodie struggled today, didn't play well at all. Again, it seems like he's trying to think too much and do too much.

I feel bad for Glencross. I was really hoping he would go on a tear so Burke could flip him for picks, but let's face it, he's been a passenger all season so far. I don't think he'll be too missed on the IR.

I hope Russel's injury isn't serious. That was a real blow to the line up.

Byron, Backlund played great. I hope they stay consistent. Colborne was in beast mode, too.

See Dustin Boyd, Greg Nemisz to name only a couple that prove otherwise... :/

He helps the team reach the cap floor next year.

So the Flames should only do things that will automatically make a player a superstar?

The question at every point is: will X be the best for Monahan's development? Not, will X automatically make Monahan a superstar?

Many feel that Monahan's development would be aided by playing at the World Jrs, nothing more.

Pick your poison with D Jones. It was either him or useless-without-Iginla Tanguay for the same term and cap hit.

Many come across as wanting Monahan at the WJHC only to have something to crow about, though.
