Flint and Tinder from the states also made the best hoodie ever, they claim it will last at least ten years. They will even warranty it for ten years. It was on kickstarter and is was really popular.

Seems like viral marketing in the new way to sell clothes.

I don't really approach hoodies as a 10 year investment kind of thing.

Somewhere out there Peter12 is shaking his head with sad disappointment about the state of fashion.

It's a hoodie dude, not a vacation property.

My girlfriend bought one for me a couple of months ago. Made in the usa. Solid material and it doesn't stretch out of shape. Regularly hoodies turn into skirts at the bottom for me. $100 for a high quality piece of clothing is not outrageous.

I was wondering about this too. I basically have to wash my $70 hoodie that I bought from Marks every week because it stretches out at the bottom.

$100 for something that lasts and is comfortable isn't crazy. Not sure what people expect anymore, but you can't exactly buy any quality hoodie for less than $50 in most Canadian stores.

there's no way i'd ever pay anything close to $100 for a hoodie.... mind you, i am in the industry and can get most brands at a wholesale price... but still!!

also this...

For starters, it appears to weigh more than two pounds. The fabric, which is 100% cotton, feels about three times thicker than most sweatshirts.
i'd probably die of heat exhaustion if i wore it. i like a nice light weight hoodie. nothing like sitting on the couch in a pool of my own sweat!

There's nothing wrong with Under Armour or Nike hoodies.

I recently purchased a grey under armour hoodie for $40 at sportchek and then went to visit the closet of an Eduardo Bauer and purchased a fleece pull over a garish, but attractive lime green color for $30........

Looks alright, but four month backorder seems weird for a <$100 hoodie.

But I am on a six month waitlist for a leather jacket, so I guess I am just a hypocrite?

So, status quo then?

Let us know when you purchase some non elitist d-bag clothing.

I don't think $100 is outrageous for a hoodie. Expensive sure.

I normally wear American Apparel hoodies and those run around $55. If this Giant hoodie lasts twice as long I save $10 (well if you exclude shipping costs).

I'm not going to crack on you too hard for this as it likely means it was made under favourable labour conditions.
