I remember being 7 years old and my 5 year old sister having her friends over for a sleep over. My brother and I got some old bed sheets and cut some eye holes and figured it would be fun to dress up like ghosts. We went down stairs and started making ghost sounds and scared the be jeesus out of them. They woke up screaming. My brother and I got grounded for a week but we felt it was worth it.

You certainly have told it before.

I will add a few more crazy things we did as kids.

- I once duct taped my brother's friend's head to a support pole in the basement.

- I tied my brother to the piano and pulled his pants down and then went to school, leaving him home alone for a while until my dad got back from whatever he was doing.

- Once while harassing my brother, he ran and hid in my moms closet. We pushed her king sized bed against the closet so he couldn't get out, and then went down to play Nintendo.

When we were young, I dared my little sister to lick a freezing lamp post. She did, and got stuck.

She has forgiven me, and now works for me. No one has your back like your sister.

I totally agree.

My sister and I fought like cats and dogs growing up and we worked together for almost 10 years in various jobs.

I'm an only child so this thread is both amusing for me to read, and somewhat disappointing since I didn't get to have these experiences, and as a father of three, also a bit scary!

I used to put alarm clocks all over the house and promptly forget about them. When one rings unexpectedly and loudly, it usually scares the crap out of me. Then, I point to myself and say "Good one!" Then we would all have a laugh about it and drink some beer or milk.

When my sister was just a few months old, I was about 8 and 1/2. Early one weekend I was up and everybody else was still sleeping but I wanted to hold the baby. So I sneaked upstairs and took her out of her crib and was going to bring her down to the TV room and watch the Dungeons & Dragons cartoon with her, cuz she reminded me of Dungeon Master. Well, while going down the second flight of stairs from the main floor to the family room she started wiggling and slipped out of my arms. It was the loudest and most terrifying sound I've ever heard...

THMP-THMP-THMP-THMP-THMP

She slid down the carpeted stairs, tiny head whacking against each one. I stood there for what felt like an hour, waiting for her to start wailing, waiting for my parents to come crashing down from upstairs to see what the racket was, waiting to catch the ####storm of a lifetime for killing my new baby sister.

But nothing happened. Nobody came running and somehow she never made a peep, just laid on the floor, legs kicking and arms flailing. I didn't know if she was just dazed or now permanently ######ed. I crept down the stairs like a ninja, not wanting to sell myself out and scooped her up, then leaped back upstairs two at a time and put her into her crib with nobody the wiser.

The next few years were tense, secretly dreading getting news that my sister was brain damaged and only I would ever know why... Thank goodness she actually turned out to be pretty awesome.

My brother and I used to shoot arrows into the sky with the old mans compound bow, and run like hell. We almost killed the dog one time.

Pretty sure I've blocked out all the other dumb things we did.

I chatted with the girl on the other end, don't remember what she said but she asked a lot of questions. My brother told me to tell her to shut up, so I did, multiple times and then hung up.

My Mom got a phone call back and then put us in the corners to wait while the Cops came to pick us up. Apparently pranking the police got you sent to 'little boys prison'. She told us all about how she was going to give our toys away to other boys since we wouldn't need them anymore.

We pleaded with her for hours, but it was no use, the cops were coming and we were doomed. Finally she said alright, the chief of police has agreed to waive the charges if you apologize to him. So I picked up the phone, talked to the chief for a few minutes, I said sorry and he told me not to do it again.

This was over 20 years ago... a few years back I was going through some of my things and I came across a journal my Mom had written about us as children.

She wrote that the lady phoned back and laughed when my Mom explained the situation, but Mom didn't find it as funny.. so she took matters into her own hands. I lived my whole life assuming I had talked with the Chief, I knew that I wasn't going to jail obviously later on... but I still thought the conversation was real. Turns out she had my Great Uncle phone back and pretend to be the Chief, give us a lot of guff and make us promise not to do it again. Well played.

I feel like I have told this story before on here..
I did the same thing as a kid. When I lived in Martindale I had these neighbors across the street that I hated. For some reason, I thought that if I called the fire department and said there was a fire there, they would come over and start hosing down their house and I could stand by the window and laugh. Didn't work that way.

They called the house back and my mom started freaking out. She ran a day home at the time and thought one of the young kids had done it. But when the lone cop showed up (and not the fire brigade like I'd hoped) he took one look at me and knew it was me. Didn't buy my excuse that my baby brother had spoken his first words and managed to dial the phone.

When I was about 8 years old my sister pissed me off so much I went and took a whiz under her bed

There was also the time I put my foot through her wall and covered it with her New Kids on the Block Poster without her knowing. When we finally moved she caught sh*t for not only putting a hole in the wall but also trying to cover it up and lying about it.

Sure you aren't talking about a Rita Hayworth poster and this story isn't about your cellmate?

Oh MAN do I ever wish I had thought of that do to do my sister.

I did tell her we found her in a ditch on the highway but yours is way better. Also continuously got her to smell my feet by convincing her they smelled like flowers and strawberries but once she was old enough to realize these well all lies I didn't really have anything to torment her about.

Whenever my older sisters friends would come by, I would put my sisters oldest school pictures in the frame ( all past pictures were behind the previous years ). It was funny because there was that 2 - 3 year period where she had bangs that were like a foot high and looked like something out of a degrassi year book.

I always find these stories incredibly amusing. My sister and I never fought, probably cause my mom would pull out one of these and spank us both if we ever fought

My mom was the epitome of fair, if we got into it we'd both get it, nobody was unscathed.

So we generally never fought. I did, however, always convince my sister to give me her candy when I was a kid. I had no self control and I'd always finish my candy way before her, so I'd always weasel her into giving me the rest of hers. Usually I'd tell her I'll give her mine next time, which never happened.

We did something similar, only with lawn darts. I'm pretty sure that's why you can't buy them anymore. Definitely had some close calls.

I had a younger brother who was extremely gullible and I would prank him all the time. My favourite thing was to go in his room super early on some random morning - like in the middle of July - and start pretending it was Christmas morning. I'd be like "Come on, get up - Santa came! Come open your presents!!" He would jump up out of bed and go tearing out of his room, and it usually took him until he got about halfway up the stairs before he figured it out. I must have gotten him half a dozen times.
