I'm kinda wishing he gets one game just so he can sit back and watch the game from up top and realize he's panicking way too fast.

A penalty and fine. I thought it was more a case of Giordano being stupid and wasn't really pre-meditated. I think you have to make an example of it though because if you don't, someone else might do it thinking they can get away with it... and it is a dangerous thing to do.

Being stupid is being negligent and really I am not sure how that makes it ant better for him because he was being dumb

If Avery or Cooke did that it wouldn't even be worth 3-5 games. 2 games max for them. I'm pretty sure Gio doesn't have the rap sheet the likes of them. Your head is stuck somewhere. Get it out.

A suspension would be perfect as IMO he could use a night in the pressbox. He's been arguably the teams worst defenseman so far and we are past the point of having the luxury of guys playing through their funks.

Struggled, yes. But the only one arguing that he has been our worst defenceman is you

Not the first bonehead play from Giordano. Two years ago he went knee on knee with Bobby Ryan when the game was already over. 1 game would be a fair punishment for a dangerous play

Dumb play, just to take a penalty at the part of the ice in your own zone is dumb enough. What Gio did on that play was even more dumb.
He doesn't have a reputation for being dirty so odds are Gio will get a warning with a fine.

Yep and I trust my judgement and certainly don't need your validation to feel I'm right. I don't think he's a lost cause but he's been trying to do too much going back to last year and he's hurting the team. He needs to take a step back and simplify his game. A night or two in the pressbox mandated by the league may be just what the doctor ordered.

That had to be the most slew foot looking slew foot I've ever seen.

(edit: Nevermind, it was Glencross I was thinking of...)

Giordano isn't the cleanest player on the planet, although I still don't think the slew foot is suspension worthy. It is still worthy of being pointed out and being added to his rap sheet. A fine accomplishes that nicely IMO.

Don't be a hypocrite, on the Cooke play you said this:

So let me get this clear. On an accidental play, that amounted to no fine or suspension, and wasn't a slew foot Cooke should have a career ending injury as a result, but Gio should get just a game?

I am not defending Cooke, but by the 'Puckluck', non-sensical, absurd wheel of emotionally charged revenge justice... Gio should be executed for that play.

I think the people that have it out for Cooke have it out for him because of his history, not just that single play. Giordano doesn't have the history of Cooke, of course. I'd be sad if Gio's career was ended, I wouldn't care so much if it was Cooke's.

Yeah for the better of the game Cooke should never be in the NHL again. I really hope someone ends his career, and his accidental cutting has nothing to do with me wanting him out of the NHL.

Do you even understand what the word hypocrite means because your post makes no sense.

I never said Gio deserved a suspension or didn't. Simply said he needed to watch the game from up top but keep holding that grudge and making things up.

How would 2 minutes be MORE than enough? It's obviously a penalty and pretty stupid thing to do as well.

If there was an injury on the play, there would be calls for a big suspension. The fact that no one got hurt on this play doesn't make it any less dirty. Gio should sit for a game and hopefully he'll understand that no matter how frustrated you are, there's no room for this type of play in the game.

Yeah pretty dirty IMO. Don't know if it warrants suspension or not, but thats not really upt to me so I try not to speculate on it.

However, in the same game Begin literally grabbed the leg of his fighting opponent and body slammed him on the ice. This is not wrestling or UFC done on a padded mat. This is played on rock solid ice. That is dirty, dangerous and he should see a whole pile of suspension. If the guys not wearing a helmet he could easily be killed doing that.
