Just like Fundmark's issue, jumping to the conclusion that the PSU is dead is a huge leap of logic. There are too many variables to figure out what's going on here.

You are saying this happens whenever it goes into sleep mode? Does it power on and off normally if you don't use sleep mode or disable it?

I'm guessing it's stuck in a sleep/hibernation loop. Unplug the computer, pull out the bios battery, wait 5 minutes, plug the computer back in, replace battery, try to power on again.

It's more of the behavior it was going through before it wouldn't turn on anymore.

Any chance that I will need to replace the bios battery itself entirely?

Edit: Just gave that a shot, unplugged computer, bios battery out, 5 minutes, plugged back in, bios battery back in and still no response.

Good news guys! Memx called and looks like hard drive is faulty! New one ready to pick up and will try putting this beast back together in the new year after vacation
