I quite drinking alcohol for personal reason about five years ago and have been drinking a lot of non-alcoholic beer at social gatherings (for the social effect and because I still like the idea of having beer with friends). Here's some tips:
O'Douls Amber or Green can be found at pretty much every pub/bar in Calgary. Amber is by far the tastier of the two.
Kaliber is a Guinness Non-Alcoholic Malt beverage that is really, really good. I'm not sure if it's that common at bars, but I think you can find it at Willow Park liquor store.
Labatt has a non-alcoholic beer that is actually pretty good and a pretty safe stable if you're going to a party and don't want to draw attention. You can find six packs of it at any Safeway, Co-op, Sobey's.
The Co-op gold non-alcoholic beer, Molson Excel and President's Choice Non-Alcoholic are pretty painful beers. Although for some odd reason President's Choice also has an amber non-alcoholic beer which I haven't tried yet.
There are also a bunch of German/Dutch style non-alcoholic beers around like Erdinger (as someone else mentioned) and Heinieken also makes one under another name (can't remember what it is) that are good. There a bunch more that are just painful, St. Pauly's girl makes a N/A which I can't stand (but I don't know how common it is in Canada).
If you do any traveling to the States there a bunch of interesting ones like Coors N/A, Old Milwaukee N/A and Busch N/A. The Coors N/A and Old Milwaukee N/A are probably my favourite of all time.
Anyways, I know it looks like you're only looking for beers during the next nine months, but hopefully some of this helps. There alternatives, but you just have to know where to look for them.
One last thing, every grocery store in Alberta should have non-alcoholic beer, but not every liquor store will do the same. If's a local mum and pop operation the chances of them carrying anything are very, very slim.
