One app is a colouring book and the other one is if I really felt like telling all my friends how far I run. Meh... It's less about the cost and more about not downloading too much on my phone!

Ha! Fair enough, I had not read the descriptions...

FYI if you want you can disable your phones network access before doing the purchasing - then they are just tied to your account and you can "push" them to your device(s) as needed later in case you wipe your phone and need to re-install or get a new device.

Aren't they always tied to your device?

I don't think you need to be so tricky about it.

Ya they are tied to your device, thats not what I was getting at... For example at work I was on my data plan and I didn't want to download and install 10 apps using it. Teh_Bandwagoner didn't want to clutter his phone with apps he wont use (for the moment).

All I'm saying is if you turn off your phones network they wont automatically start to download and install... a few minutes after you have purchased the apps - turning the network back on won't start them. Then later when your on wifi or whenever you want you can "re"-install them via your google account market area.

not hard or super ingenious tricks here... just saying...

I actually meant to say aren't they always tied to your account, but I'm a moron. Now I have no idea what my point was. I'm sorry.

BTW, I stayed away from Soundhound when it was normal price, didn't think it was anything but a gimmick, but my god, is it ever an impressive app.

The Little War Game one is pretty good, basically Advance Wars, from GBA days. I also got Minecraft (only had the demo before) and Field Runner. Already had SwiftKey from when it was free on Amazon's appstore. Apparently they're going to put new free apps up each day, so this is like the Steam sales with even less guilt.

everyone should pick up Beautiful Widgets ASAP, it is bar none the best clock/weather widget out there. it was inspired by HTC's Sense widgets but vastly improved upon with hundreds of different skins and configurations. i bought it at full price a year ago and it was well worth it then

Well my advice was apparently not so good anyway... As soon as I connected to my home wifi network apps started downloading. I was able to pause them and then under settings--> applications --> Manage Applications--> All --> Download manager - If you clear its data it will stop trying to download them... but turning off my mobile network just delayed the download... So I'm a little confused too apparently :P

I love Soundhound, I think it kicks the tar out of Shazam.

Really weird Google has not updated the market page... https://market.android.com/details?i...e=banner&pli=1

:\ my phone is not compatible with the NFL game...

I don't like the selection as much today. But pssh at 10 cents I'll end up buying another 8 apps today. Still don't think I can justify 2 of them...as fun as Berenstein Bears and the Christmas live wallpaper might be...

Edit: I bought Minecraft yesterday. Never played it before. I generated a world, and had no idea what to do after. I think I put down a torch or two and gave up for now. Seems awfully complicated for a game with no instructions lol.

Bought 5 yesterday, another 3 today. When it's 10 cents it is tough to pass up!

Read It Later seems really functional, love the idea of saving what I didn't have time to read during the day and storing it for me.

Took a gamble on AirSync, the reviews are mixed on it whether it actually works or not. Works with DoubleTwist which I also have, apparently syncs all your iTunes stuff to your phone and will now sync to your SD Card directly which is an important feature, especially with how many songs I have. Also picked up StarChart...love the fact that I can have my apps on my phone and tablet.

Yesterday I bought Paper Camera which is a cool camera option, Autodesk Drawer and SoundHound. Although I have tried SoundHound and didn't work great...could be my singing though!

From the reviews, I gathered that it was best suited for creative people. On that basis, I knew it wasn't for me.

Well I freely admit I do not understand the minecraft phenom... I have not idea what to do or why either... people build these crazy things... I don't understand why... lol. But I bought it... I bought everything I'm like a 10cent crack addict. Who knows maybe someday I'll have to read my nephew a story and I'm hopeful the x-mas wall paper has FPAG (Fire Place arm Guy) lol.
