A Mattress/Bed Thread

Yeah I don't really get what the point of a box spring is, although they're not very expensive and the mattress warranty is void without them.

The mattress we just bought weighs a whopping 400 pounds if you can believe it. Maybe the box spring helps distribute the weight on the frame?
