The sox are playing the best baseball in the majors right now and you gotta give them there props.

Not all bad today Russ Adams who extended his hit streak along with a 2 homer night and the bullpen besides Whiteside were good again. I'm glad to see even though he had another 0 for night that Wells finally got moved down in the order.

The Jays are still playing good ball and being over .500 is something I think the Jays should really be proud of, however still a ton of season left. Lilly doesen't look the same at all, remember he had an injury in the spring and has been known to rush back way to fast.

Yeah, if Lilly has a decent start it's a different game. Hopefully Chacin can come back tomorrow and give the Jays a solid start.

I was also glad to see Wells move down.

Zaun was down on for about 10 minutes and was fitted with an oxygen mask and a head and neck brace. He was unconscious for a few minutes, but was awake and made some movements before being driven off the field and taken to a hospital for further tests.
Paul Konerko and other Chicago players, who were huddled around him, said Zaun was having trouble breathing.
"It was scary," Konerko said. "He was choking on something. That's what everyone standing out there was a little bit worried about. It's one thing to get knocked out, you get knocked out and you come to, but he was lifeless and it sounded like he was choking on something. He was gasping for air, but lifeless at the same time.
"It was getting to the point where, 10, 15, 20 seconds into it, you're wondering if this guy is going to choke to death right here."
A Blue Jays spokesman said Zaun had breathing problems consistent with a head injury.

Hopefully he can recover quickly. He was able to communicate and knew where he was. They expect Zaun to be fine.

They've placed Zaun on the 15 day DL with a concussion. Sounds like he'll be fine though. Ken Huckaby we assume will take over the starting catching position. I also assume that Quiroz will be called up?

Quiroz got injured a few games ago in the minors.

Which means I have *no idea* who can be called up.

Menechino is the 3rd Emergency Catcher if things go wrong I know that.

They've called up Andy Dominque who I know precisely nothing about. This is a big blow to the Jays. Zaun has been one of the most dependable bats. VW must get going now.

Ouch............ what a blow to the Jays. Zaun has benn pretty dependable so far this year, I was really happy with him.

When I was watching the game, I also thought it looked like he was having trouble breathing or something. Thought it was maybe just my imagination. Glad to hear he's OK, and not more serious than it could have been.

Here's to a speedy recovery.................
