I think it's just that it's amazing how some restaurants always seem to be FAR above any other.
I concur with Joey Tomatoes, doesn't seem to matter which one it is or where it is, whenever we go there it's always literally amazing that every girl working is stunning.

I've known a couple of Joey's employees - servers and kitchen staff - and if any of the rumours of their hiring practices for servers are true that place is a lawsuit waiting to happen.

On the Earls/Joeys thing. It is absolutely based off of looks.
Several times when working there girls would come in and leave their resume with me at the bar to give to my manager. He would ask me my opinion of the girls, with the implication being, if shes not 8-10 shes not getting hired. So if your service sucks at Earls/Joeys, it is likely because hiring is not based off of brains, but at least you get something nice to look at while you wait for your chili chicken.
Stopped by Stephen Ave. Earls this week for lunch, and to be honest I wasn't overly impressed. There were good looking girls don't get me wrong, but nothing mind boggling.

I haven't lived in Calgary since '04 but good to hear Joey's is still representing. My fav was that one on Barlow (I think, its been awhile) that looks kinda like a castle. It's funny, no guy could leave that place without a huge grin on their face. Just the best.
What I would've given to bartend there back in my teens/early 20's single days..

I worked in several restaurants during high school and my undergrad. I can tell you that most restaurants are a lawsuit waiting to happen. This is what happens when attractive women/girls are hired to serve with ridiculously inappropriate chefs/cooks in the back.

Yeah, the girls at Wine Bar are smoke-shows for sure. And it's actually a decent place to eat, unlike Joey's/Earls/Milestones/Cactus Club
