I have a nick on the end of my middle finger that is about 2 mm long. Every time I think it is closed and gtg, I go golfing and it opens up again, this has been happening for about 2 weeks. I played golf horribly yesterday because just as I was about to hit the ball my brain sends a distress signal down to my finger to tell it to take evasive action, then my hand will angle itself to avoid any more pain. Anyone know where I can get a finger transplant by tomorrow? or even a bionic finger or replaceable appendages for hands?
No, Kensington. The things are constantly coming across the Louise bridge.
Strange, I live in Kensington right on Memorial and close to 10th st. I never notice them, must be like someone else said, you must just get used to them and fade it into the background.
This has been really grinding my gears: how unbelievably difficult it is to get cushions to fit my patio set. It's an older Ikea set but still in great shape, except the cushions need replacing. Ikea doesn't sell them anymore and doesn't sell anything in the right shape. Apparently, neither does anyone else. Custom cushions are hilariously expensive - it would be well over $1000 to get a set made. But I can't figure out how else I would do this. Slip covers?

I have this co-worker who I have recently been put alongside due to an office restructure. He's a small, insecure, shell of a man who's selfishness directly effects his co-worker's (mine) work pattern negatively.
But aside from that, he's one of those loud mouths who, even when unsure of facts, claims it as full truth with absolute conviction and doesn't back down. He will say "black" to your "white" just to take an opposing stance and try to look smarter. It's frustratingly odd.
Recent examples include
-The Canucks never had a 3-0 lead on the Hawks in 2011
-No Habs fan ever threw a banana at Kevin Weekes
-Madness sang the 80s song `West End Girls
-Your cell phone provider will repair your broken phone or give you a new one, even if you bought it off contract from a competitor (ie. Google).
As you can tell, it`s mostly trivial stuff so I usually object once or twice, he maintains his position, and I just say `whatever`and let it go. Then I realized it`s not just in arguing that he`s like this; it`s everything he says. I asked him on Friday if the Habs (he`s a fan) game on the weekend would be a day game, as they tend to schedule that way this time of year. He responded with an emphatic, "no, it`s a normal start time". Color me surprised when at 5:00 I see the final score on tsn.com.
Today, in a discussion over the Whistler sled dog cull, where again, his facts were wrong, I decided to fully call him on it and stick with it this time. Without ever raising my voice, I simply told him he was mistaken. Wow, what a childish reaction I received. I got `"oh, so you`re right and I`m wrong then, that`s how it is" ,`"were you there?", and "I read articles about it".
I understand when arguments happen over subjective things. When someone doesn't acknowledge my opinion , yes , I can get frustrated and understand when others do too. But when someone is vehemently denying hard facts, how do you even talk to someone like that? At anytime I could pick up my phone and google his ignorant ass into oblivion. I have thought it wasn't worth doing that over something so trivial, but today he really ticked me off and think now maybe it would have been fun to take the low road and watch him squirm.
I'm guessing most people have always done what I've been doing and either humor him or just let it go. His reaction today was of someone who can't handle being wrong or who has never been told off.
Anyways, I simply won't talk to him anymore. If he ever gives me the opportunity to, I will gladly call him out on all of his BS; even if that means he has to submit to google.
It all sounds childish, but I had to rant that out. It bugs me that this bugs me , but really, can you carry conversations with people like that? Whose every word is false? I wouldn't even believe him if he told me what the weather outside was like.
That felt good.
This video is painfully accurate.

It is designed to be relative rather than absolute on purpose.
If you are going 70 and come up in someone going 60 in the right lane, move into the left to pass him (then move back to the right).
If you are going 110 in the left lane and someone comes up behind you going faster, then YOU are the slower traffic, so you move to the right.
The key is to move into the right lane unless you are passing.
It is a very simple system that gets ruined by holier-than-thous policing the left lane by going slow and jackoffs who just want to drive in the left lane the entire time.
This is why I prefer the signs that say "Keep Right Except to Pass". With the signs referring to "Slower Traffic Keep Right", you get people that are thick as a brick that don't understand the definition of slower traffic.

Is someone getting closer and closer to you when you look in the rear view mirror? If yes, you're slower traffic and should move to the right (unless you're already there).

This is the crux of your problem right there, you're trying to apply logic to an idiot. "Guy Lafleur was the greatest of all time"..."The refs never cut us a break"..."Scott Gomez is going to be a 30 goal scorer again. McDonagh will never amount to anything"
I'm guessing most people have always done what I've been doing and either humor him or just let it go. His reaction today was of someone who can't handle being wrong or who has never been told off.
I'm more confused as to how anyone can possibly get away with this in an age where you can pull up wikipedia on your cell phone... Does he just respond with "the internet is wrong"?

Internet? Wikipedia? Yeah and I'm the King of Jupiter.
People who random camp and do not clean up when they leave. I cannot understand why its so difficult for people to pick up after themselfs. They are even provided bags by the rangers in most areas. Its the same thing every year and its getting worse and its now spreading to Kookanusa where because of this the chances of access being shut down and having the land given back to the native band in the next 5 years is looking more like a reality. Heres hoping for an SRD ban on random camping in the Forest Land Use Zones next year!

I hate gifs in general. Just post a video!
