The best thing about this briefing is that the press is all over Spicer. They're not just laying down and believing the garbage coming out of the WH. That's a great sign.

Okay. If Trump only hires 'the best people' then why is Spicer up there lecturing everyone about leaks and how they're a big concern? Isn't that Trump's problem? Maybe the biggest problem starts at the top?

It is, but I think they're missing what to me, is the big one: when was Trump informed that the Russians may have blackmail-type material on Flynn, how seriously did Trump take that threat, and did he make any changes to Flynn's involvement and access to information after that?

So far, based of what Spicer is saying, it seems the issue isn't Flynn potentially talking about the sanctions, it's that he lied. Bizarre angle to take, but let's see how it plays put.

It's always Obama's fault. We're going to keep hearing that for the next 4 years (or less).

You're surprised by this? Its in every political parties playbook.
Trudeau - "Its all Harper's fault"
Notley - "Its all the previous conservative governments fault"
etc etc etc.

Not surprised he's saying it, just the regularity with which they do it. I don't recall Trudeau bringing up Harper's name nearly as much as what we've heard from Trump & co. regarding Obama.

Joe Trudeau is trending so whether Spicer intended it or not, we know what's currently being worked into next weeks SNL script.

Both Harper and Trudeau show a lot more tact. It's more the media and the supporters who play that card, not directly the leaders (at least not that I recall).
For sure Trump is going to inherit problems from the previous administration (as well as some of the benefits), but a lot of their problems right now are in isolation and on their administration alone.

Looks like a Republican senator is breaking ranks.

(CNN)Republican Sen. Roy Blunt, a member of the Senate Intelligence Committee, on Tuesday called for an exhaustive investigation into connections between President Donald Trump and Russia and said the Intelligence Committee should immediately speak with former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn.

Yeah, but this is the kind of crap that just helps the braying idiots who support Trump to point and say "SEE? FAKE NEWS!" It was utterly obvious that Spicer just stumbled over his words for a half second while saying "Prime Minister Trudeau":

It also just distracts from the Flynn stuff, which is what actually matters.

That does raise the question: best actor to play Trudeau on SNL? How about Ryan Reynolds... limo pulls up, President Trump is waiting, shirtless Ryan Reynolds gets out.

Did you see that GQ video I posted last week? Sean really struggles with public speaking it seems, lots of funny gaffes. This job doesn't seem like it's well suited to him.

SNL is going to need a crack addict to play Kelly Anne Conway. She looks worn out and aged in just a short time.

The only crying going for the next 10 years will be the far right wondering how Trudeau and Nenshi are still in power.
Trump might be the best thing to ever happen for Trudeau.

I agree with you. But his whole presidency is really just a collection of distractions that are distracting from the other distractions.
