Scoring Winger

He also played out of Victoria, which is harder to get to for scouts because of the ferry, so maybe some teams didn’t get as many eyes on him through the year. I’m not sure about this, but I hear a lot about scouts just “driving up” to see so and so when they’ve got some time… that doesn’t happen with Victoria when you might miss a ferry and have to wait four hours to come over.

Its a black hole of a place to play, Prince Albert and Victoria are the most dreaded to be drafted by. Kudos to him sticking it out.

Prince George might actually be the worst place I've ever been to.

Hypothetical: who will have the better career? Reschny or Monahan

I'm a huge Monahan fan and I hope the answer is Reschny because the Flames sure could use a homerun like that.

Fingers crossed Reschny has the better career but I would be just fine if we got a Monahan 2.0 in terms on point production. I just hope that Reschny becomes the 1C we need. He looks to be a great play driver so I’ve got high hopes.

Spent 6 month living in Prince George and then moved to Vancouver Island.
One of those three places is completely not like the other.

Another reason for optimism- posted a few months back.

That Markstom trade could really become something special...all for a player added for nothing as UFA who gave a few years of good service

I assume they would take the sea plane over to Victoria.

A few years of mediocre service, really.

I lived there for the first 5 years of my working life. It's not for the feint of heart. Men's Rec Hockey there was like Quebec senior leagues .
Teams used to go there for a lot of Friday/Saturday double headers due to how remote it is. There were some instances of opposing players getting beat up and mugged in downtown trying to walk from their motel to 7-11.
