Rule 3 in the Flames Fan Handbook states to never cheer for the Oilers under any circumstance unless an Oilers win clearly benefits the Flames and also includes that predicting any Oilers success must not happen as putting things like that in the world is baddd...

To be clear, I may have made that list by preparing myself for the darkest timeline, but I would never cheer for the Oilers even if an Oilers win benefited the Flames.

Best case scenario of then making Cup Finals this year (and losing again) is they have to run it back next year, and McDavid has no extension in place. Then after regressing and either missing playoffs entirely or seeing an early exit, McDavid walks as a UFA and Edmonton maybe gets a middling pick for negotiating rights from a team.

Dumpsterville lights things up in Flames colours all the time. Not just dumpsters too. Google Whyte Ave fire and see how many things they light up.

West playoffs were really strange this year

Kings should have beat the Oilers (Hill/Byfield)
Blues should have beat the Jets (2 goals with the goalie pulled, 1.6 seconds)
Avs should have beat the Stars (Late game comeback, couple major bounces included)
Even the Wild were outplaying the Knights (mm offside goal in the final minute, lost in OT)

You basically had 4 teams in a final destination scenario...they all could have and probably should have been done in round one. Only one left to kill.

No Friedman. Kane didn’t take Tkachuk out of the series with Calgary. Tkachuk did it by hurting his hand against Dallas.
