I'd love to see Keenan or Sutter to return behind the bench.

Ive been saying for years that the GlueGun is a dud of a coach. I think its clear to everyone now that this is true.

Spot on! I think these two points are underrated. A couple of years ago (I was trying to dig this up) one of our CP posters did an analysis showing that the first line was whichever line was out there with Brodie and Giordano. I suspect giving the offensive strength in our top 4 this continues to be the case. Shelter a young 4th line and a 3rd pairing of Kulak and stone and dump the rest. Roll three lines and 2 defensive pairings and throw out the Hathaways of the world whenever you need energy.

I'm as patient as anyone this side of Treliving, and I have to say that I have pretty much lost hope for Gulutzan. - The player utilization (and over use of the 4th line, specifically) is very frustrating.
- The lack of passion reduces the enjoyment level as a fan (and the players, it seems). The rigidity of forcing a system on the team is clearly failing - a system (or more precisely, a team) has to be flexible enough to play different styles, to react to different situations. And this team isn't.
- And as a couple others have said, I think he has to take some of the blame for where Bennett is right now.
I don't agree about Sutter though. Loved him when he was here, and admired what he did in LA, but I don't think he's the answer for this team.
Also, on a side note... Gulutzan was right: they are being too cute at home. There were 7 or 8 instances (minimum) last night where they got themselves into a great position to shoot, but took the extra pass and killed the play. That extra pass is beautiful when it works, but when you do it every time, the D is waiting for it. You have to shoot in order to set up the pass, not pass every time. That being said, this was far from the only problem last night.

Lose tomorrow and our start is worse than last year. Lose in OT tomorrow and we are the same as last year.
There is no systems learning issue this year. The only new players to the organization are: Hamonic, Jagr and Glass...I can't see how this is not on Greg Gilbert 2.0.

What a joke. Even for the "PG" rating of CP.
Mods are as unpredictable/inconsistent as NHL refs.
Now I expect to get an infraction for this post for the disclosure.

Did you just say if Dustin Brown gets 40 points while being a physical beast, a leader, and draws a bunch of penalties that is a bad thing? I think you just proved you don't know as much about hockey as you think.

I don’t think Daryl would want to come back to the organization again. We need a coach that is creative and utilizes players based on their skills and abilities regardless of being a veteran or not. I wonder sometimes how big of an impact actually there is losing Derek Engelland in the locker room?
AV is a good coach but man, Gerard Gallant is a coach that this team desperately needs to move forward with. GG has been outcoached multiple times early in the season and I don’t think that this organization can afford to wait and see if he catches up or not.
Our PP and penalty kill has been predictable and a good opposing coach can easily adapt and employ tactics to counter it.

Says the guy who believes bringing in a slow over the hill Iginla was going to push us to SC contender. It was obviously over the top on my part to make a point.

I think GG will be done at the end of this homestand - i see no way this team is turning it around anytime soon. What a complete mess - good thing Treliving mortgaged the future for this atrocity

More drama around here than a Taylor Swift sleepover.
I'm really uninterested in anything anyone except season ticket holders have to say. They are the ones who have to pay for this brand of hockey, win or lose. Winning is better though.

I suggest:
"Flames media is too kind to Glen Gulutzan"
"Glen Gulutzan is a good assistant coach"
"Glen Gulutzan is Willie Desjardins 2.0"
"Glen Gulutzan coaches the most bpring team since Brent Sutter"
"Brad Treliving is just as culpable for this team being bad as Glen Gulutzan"

I hope Tre moves on quickly. The last time the Flames had a legit roster, coaching ruined their chances. The revolving door of Playfair, Keenan, and B. Sutter wrecked Iginla and Kipper's prime plus the amazing supporting cast of Tanguay, Langkow, Phaneuf, Regehr, etc.
It's time to get a proven coach. There's limited time to compete in such a competitive league.

It's a blatant systems issue.

What is the systems issues? Be specific, because I hear this a lot from arm chair coaches but most of us couldn't coach our way out of a paper bag.
His player usage is questionable, otherwise the team systems seem to working fine.

We don't have our 1st & 2nd round picks in 2018, so underachieving is simply not an option for this team at this point in time.
I honestly wouldn't be shocked if, should this team play like garbage in it's next few games and lose, that GG is fired. We can't rely on a 10 game winning streak to propel us into the wildcard spot year after year.
If you're going to get a new guy coaching this team, would make sense to me that you'd do it during a long home stand, rather than when the team is on the road for a couple weeks.

Darren Haynes seems to be throwing a lot of digs at Gulutzan's coaching decisions these last couple weeks.
Sorry for not posting them, a little busy at the moment, but his handle is @DarrenWHaynes if anyone is interested.

Forever bad franchises have a revolving door at the coaching position - lets not be one of them. Always pointing the finger elsewhere doesn't make up for deficiencies on the ice.
