Adds nothing to the forum? Who are you to say that? I don't think shootouts adds anything to a game of hockey but some people enjoy it. Some people enjoy all kinds of threads on here that I think are a waste of space but to hey whatever floats your boat. I don't care if the pics are there / I'm not interested in looking at them. But if some people are entertained then whatever.

Mods moderate. What difference does it make what they are moderating.

The moderating team is expanding as per the discussion stemming from his suggestion.

That's a pretty substantive contribution.

Probably more than a T&A thread, but we all have our own priorities.

Wow a pretty huge reaction to something that really has no affect on the board at all. If you have access to Internet, you have access to pretty much anything you could ever want to see. Why do you need to view it while a bunch of other (mostly) dudes comment on it? Kinda like watching porn with your buddies if you ask me.

Or, out of consideration for everyone who browses the forum from work, school, home, given that avatars are visible everywhere (compared to a thread that one can choose to avoid) you could evaluate your own avatar in terms of what would be appropriate for a wide range of people and situations and change your avatar on your own based on what's courteous to others.

Not just you, everyone could do that.

Then there wouldn't have to be any discussion at all, no moderation demands, no time spent tracking down and evaluating avatars, no time spent reporting avatars, everyone can spend their time on other things.

I'd really like to be working on updating the logo and getting a new theme setup.

Because A facilitates B, with A being the pictures resulting in B stupid commentaries. In addition to that, quite a lot of the pictures are also degrading to women on some level because a good portion of them are being shown simply as being only sex objects and that too is not good.

If you want to ogle pictures of women, go to google or some other site. There's no reason why a hockey site needs that.

Nobody asked doctajones to take his avatar down, though, unlike EG. I don't know about you, but I wasn't on the edge of my seat wondering just when he was going to weigh in. And his entire tone was confrontational, using "TOLD TO", as if the jackbooted thugs and commissars of the KCP would be daunted by his refusal to go quietly to the gulag.
