Cundari in particular looks like a bad combination of small and slow.

Agreed. I think Sven is gonna make a lot of people eat their words in camp next year, including Burke. I predict he'll be back in the lineup on opening night.

Monahan looks like he has about 5 years on Johnny.

I have to listen to the Canucks announcers whining about changing Booth's goal to Sedin's over and over...
No amount of whining is going to change Sedin's crap season fellas...

After 1st period, i am impressed with Gaudreau. He is a pepperpot and very in control. He's not afraid to steal the puck from big guys and very sound defensively and offensively. Bill Arnold is having a quiet night so far except for that he almost scored. I guess I am happy with both of them so far. They got their feet wet in the NHL so I can see a better period for those two.

Just hope Johnny doesn't get his bell rung, he got tossed around a bit.

My dad says Trevor Linden is incredibly nervous and uncomfortable, look at how he uncontrollably blinks!

They've fit in perfectly. Gaudreau has been great with a bunch of board battle wins and shifty moves with the puck.

If Sven can straighten himself out and the Flames draft well again this year (+Poirier) things could get pretty bright in a couple years.

I was expecting a few years of misery and waiting for the McDavid sweepstakes but now I'm just really excited for next season to start. Johnny, Sven, Monahan, Brodie, Backlund, our 4th(5th) overall pick this year...there's a lot to look forward to for next year. And unlike the something specials up north, we've got a lot of really great support players coming up as well.
I think this rebuild gonna go just fine.

Part of me hopes Johnny doesn't score so that what happened to Baertschi doesn't happen to Johnny where he can't possibly meet the expectations from his early performance. Sven came in and lit it up then everyone almost expected him to put up points like Monahan.

Funny how Monahan looks like the grizzled vet in comparison, when he's a year younger.
