I honestly had zero interest in seeing Raymond here anyways, I would rather see Horak or another younger guy get the minutes and experience.

I like Raymond as a player, but I just think its a little redundant to bring him in.

At this point what you see is what you get with him. I don't think he has Mike Gartner potential. All he would be doing is taking a spot from a young guy. I don't think he fills a need.

Happy he's not coming here. Hate him too much to try and like him. If Jay is going to bring in any players from outside of the organization, they'd better be worth it. Someone who isn't good enough for the nucks isn't worth it.

If there is one Albertan that 'deserves' to have his dream fulfilled of playing for the Flames (not sure, but I heard that Raymond was a Canucks fan, and then also heard he grew up a Flames fan), it is him. His family apparently has a long history here.

Doubt it will happen though. Not with the roster looking fully stocked on the wings. If the Flames make a few trades and free it up a bit, I wouldn't mind him - as long as there is only a 1 year term, so the Flames can flip him if they don't like him (or just let him walk).
