Showcase at Southcentre mall just marked the kit down to $69.99 tonight.
Just in case you were thinking about it and didn't want to deal with shipping.
Wondering how people are doing with this. Was talking to a friend and he mentioned this program, also mentioned this thread.
I denied it for some time but after hurting my shoulder picking up a pop bottle, which after a week still hurts, and seeing myself in the mirror this morning and wondering who the heck was looking back at me it dawned on me that it's time to get in shape.
A lot of it is mostly I just want to get healthy. Haven't really worked out for a few years, maybe longer. Bad knees and ankles, hips get sore. Yoga is always mentioned to me but insecure to join a gym for it. Plus, women in yoga pants, too distracting for me
Any help you guys can give me would be greatly appreciated.
I'm still on it, I work out 5 to 6 days a week. Usually I alternate fat burner with energy and red hot core and throw in one of the longer diamond workouts on the weekend just to challenge myself.
I've had pretty fantastic results from it, since June I've lost about 55 pounds, of course my weight loss has slowed down, I'd still like to drop another 30 or so.
Its a great workout because you can do it at home, I've had girls that I know ask me if I would come workout with them and show them what I'm doing, but I'm not to that stage yet. Plus when you go into human cannonball you tend to lose control of your bodily functions.
For someone with bad knees and hips etc its a great workout because there's no impact, in fact there's a standup excercise that's designed around people with bad knees.
The great thing about this work out is that there isn't pressure to be awesome at it on day one, you can do most every exercise with modification (ie pushups and lunges from your knees) and work into the harder variates. Also if you start getting really tired or your heart rate goes too high, its easy to pause things go into a safety zone position and cool down a bit. When I first started about half way through each workout I was pausing, now I get through them without stopping.
There's a really good diet plan in there, but to be honest I'm not using it I designed my own.
Its a great workout for developing improved cardio, improving your flexibility and you really improve your strength especially in your shoulders and your chest.

I am still doing working out. I had a struggle during the Christmas season finding time to workout, but that is common with most people. I'm working out 2-3 days per week, depending on how many days I play hockey. This week I intend to get in 4 workouts.
I find my strength and conditioning to be improved. I'm not a quicker skater but at the end of a shift my lungs aren't screaming for air, nor are my legs burning. In fact, I feel like I could take a longer shift, but I come off the ice to evenly distribute the ice time. I attribute that to DDPYoga.
I have lost another 5-10 lbs. too. I was at a plateau, but stepped up the game in terms of managing my diet. Diet is huge in weight loss. Just like CaptainCrunch, I don't follow the diet plan provided with the program, I had one created for me when I was diagnosed with diabetes.
I found that my balance on ice has increased dramatically and I attribute most of that to having a stronger core and also the Stand Up workout. That workout is designed for people with bad knees, but it is also designed to help you with your balance.
The core workout still kicks the tar out of me. I try to do it at least once per week, and I usually only hit once per week too.
I started DDPYoga in May, I think, and this is the longest I've stuck to a workout plan/routine in somewhere around 18 years. It is very motivational to do this. The key to this workout is that they preach workout your hardest, but to also make sure you only do what you can handle. It teaches you the importance of working out in your heart rate zone and making sure you don't get your heart rate up too high, and modifying a move/pose to make it easier if you think you need to do so. Other workouts I've always felt that I had to go all-out all the time, risking form and and injury and always feeling sore for a couple of days afterwards. With DDPYoga I do what I can handle, and I do push myself hard, and I am never sore the next day. In the beginning I could even feel the improvements from one workout to the next.
DDPYoga is worth the investment.
Oh, and Captain is wrong about losing control of body functions during cannonball. There is actually a lot of different moves/poses that force you to fart. My wife won't workout with me anymore.

I have been a closet DDP Yoga'er for 6 months now. I workout on average 5 days a week. Some weeks its 7 days. Others its 2 or 3.
I was never overweight or unhealthy. I was just out of shape and wanted to get back into shape. I also hate the gym and hate running. This has been the only workout that I enjoy and have stuck with.
To me the results within the workout is what keeps me coming back. When I first started I was sweating my sack off through the 20 minute energy workout.
Now if I have the time I do 5 days of the diamond cutter and then 2 days of the double black diamond.
When I first started I would shake like a dude with hypothermia through the 3 count pushups. Now I do the 10 count pushups with a handstand on the last 10 second hold.
DDP says "there's always somewhere else to go" during the workouts, and it really is true there is always something else you can do to make it more challenging or less.
This may sound like a infomercial with some subtle brags, but this is the first workout I have ever stuck with for this long and I don't plan on stopping any time soon.

FYI, DDP will be pushing DDPYoga on ABC's Shark Tank when it comes back on February 21.
For me, the workout has been remarkable with my flexibility post-knee scope. It has really helped me move my legs a lot more. I need to focus a bit more on the nutrition aspect to help with the weight.

The big thing is that what he says at the end of the energy workout is true. If you do this you will get better and stronger.
I can see the definition in my shoulders and chest. I don't struggle with the CT pushups as much (ok I do towards the end of the workout)
The hamstring work in the core workout was really tough for me to pull my hamstrings open from a sitting position now I can do that, not quite to the advanced but I'm getting there.
Its cheesy but its fun.

I'll be watching that one, for sure. Interested to see what he is asking for. I was not really a fan of DDP back in the days, but I sure am now!

There's always somewhere else to go? I dare you to do the handstand on your fingertips! Then jump off of your fingertips and land into the worm before going into cobra!
Not gonna lie, i'm a lazy ass and video games have been way to tempting. I got down to about 180 lbs and started getting some definition and then started having shoulder issues, haven't got em fixed yet and lost all motivation.
I suck haha
On another note I did buy skates this winter and went skating with my little guy. It's the first time i've been on skates in 15 years and I loved it. If anybody in Lethbridge reads this, i'm looking to get into playing some hockey again if someone needs some players. /hijack

I don't want to get your hopes up but I may be able to help you out with that for next season. This year we are full but I hope to make some changes for next year.
You know what would have made that video better? If at the end of every weight loss change part of the video Jake the Snake would have jumped in and DDT'd the person. Except for that hot girl in the yoga pants near the end
So I'm starting this on Monday. Once my shoulder heals up a bit more. Excited.
Was lucky enough to to have a good friend let me copy his disks so I don't have to wait for them to ship... doesn't give me the time to think about it, just get to jump in and do it.
Ive been reading this thread and am going to give this a try, now that I'm older I'm thinking yoga is more of what I should be doing for flexability and what not.
Anyone know if theyre on sale somewhere in Calgary?
