And yet Schwartz would be another below-average sized player.

Would love to see a top prospect added who has some size.

I would take rattie and pick..maybe 2 for Jbo .. Feaster did say they want to get younger . I think rattie and pick may not be that bad .. plus you may get a hometown boy to cheer for .

I would imagine that is addressed at the draft in the first round, especially if we end up with 3 1st. And I could see the Flames throw big money at a guy like Clarkson or even Clowe to get some toughness in the top 6 going forward.

Regardless of size, he has great control with the puck on his stick and isn't a pushover.

It's not like rattie is bigger.

Jaden has all the tools of a great great player.

looking at the Blues HF page ... outside of Schwartz and Rattie, I don't see many interesting pieces (ignoring Tarasenko and Allen, obviously). Prospect wise, the Red Wings interest me a lot more, I have to say. They sure have a knack for Euros - Nyquist, Jarnkrok, Frk, Jurco, Mrazek, Tatar, Backman, Almqvist, Andersson ...

I may sound dumb here, but whats with the hype with Jaden Shwartz? I know he had good colledge years, but looking at his stats, he hasn't been all to impressive in the AHL and In the NHL.

BTW: Is it me or does he seem like a "Johnny Gaudreu" type player; small, lots of points in the NCAA etc.

I'd be targeting Gustav Nyquist. Can't miss prospect based simply on his awesome name.

Meh, not really a big deal IMO. We need good prospects back, and our cupboards are too bare to be picky about how big a player is. Sven, Schwartz, and potentially Gaudreau would be our only smaller sized, good prospects. Like another poster said I assume we pick up some size in the off season or at the draft, whether that's Barkov, Gauthier, or other bigger prospects, or guys like Clarkson, Clowe, or even Horton in UFA.

I hope we get Jadan schwatz from the blues but knowing us these days we will accidently get Jordon Schmaltz. At least both are NCAA players

I know nothing about them, so I would pick Rattie on name alone. The Rat Fink!

I think some of you guys are dreaming. I bet the Blues wouldn't even move Schwartz straight up for Bouw let alone throw in a first. Expect a solid prospect and a 2nd.

If Bob McKenzie is right and Bouw is worth "significantly more" than Iggy (perhaps a top prospect, fringe/secondary prospect, and a 1st rounder), I'd like to see Max Gardiner (Jake Gardiner's little brother) as the fringe prospect coming our way from St. Louis.

Max Gardiner's a 6'3" 190lb centre who put up 21 points in 27 games as a college sophomore with Penn State. While Penn State isn't in the greatest division in the NCAA and doesn't face very difficult opponents, his size and point totals are too intriguing especially as a fringe/secondary prospect.

Would be nice to get a NHL ready center out of the impending Bouwmeester deal. Filpula would be nice if we could make it so he'd sign an extension once we acquired him. I really like the sounds of a Hudler - Filpula - Cervenka line.

me too. If they make sure that Filppula immediately signs here (or a does a sign-and-trade, as those are possible now, no?), I'd be all over that. Then draft Barkov and enter next year with Filppula, Barkov, Backlund and Stajan down the middle ... or even give Barkov another year to develop.
