Are you kidding?

A guy that carried this team on his back for a decade?

The guy that has Broken most records for scoring and points for the team.

How many 30 goal seasons? Hated those?

A future hall of famer, that did it all without ever having a #1 centre.

You are a joke

Flash should thank Mel, he took the heat off Flash's consolation prize comment.

I'm sure many will disagree with this, but if Iginla is traded I hope the Flames management "accidentally" leaks it to the media so that the entire city can know his next game will be his last.

This is not like the Jokinen situation a couple of years ago, when the trade broke before he played his last game. I want the city to have a proper chance to say goodbye to the greatest Flames of all time.

Totally agree. He deserves a proper send-off.

Some of you guys are really going to regret bashing the best player this team has ever seen. We may not see the likes of him again for decades.
Yes all 500... Not a knock against the player but the organization.

It's time to move on, it's not working

I hope Iggy has a good game and Boston GM gets the word: "It's a go, make the move.."

Love you Iggy, you've done absolutely everything for this team.. it's time we give back.

Maybe Im wrong but I think Mel doesn't hate Iginla he's just stating that rumours of him being dealt are getting annoying/tiring..

He had a great career but you have to move forward. Team success not so much but he did what ever he could.

I don't disagree with that at all. But when you say "good riddance" it comes across as a shot against Iginla. I may have misinterpreted you.

Although projecting the career trajectory of a goaltender at such a young age is a difficult task, what are people's thoughts regarding Malcolm Subban?

If the confidence is there that he will pan out to be a high caliber future number one goalie then dealing for him in a possible Iginla trade to Boston would open the doors for us to deal Kiprusoff as well for more solid future assets.
