The Presidents Cup is basically the equivalent of an international friendly in soccer. The US is obviously better but for many years they were always better than the Euro's at the Ryder Cup, but because the Euro's hated the Americans they always made it interesting. I agree the RC is a much bigger deal, but there is nothing wrong with the PC as an event either.

You know the Int's want badly to beat the US, they just dont have the horses right now.

For a guy like Delaet, this is the pinnacle as far as team golf goes, and i have zero doubt that most guys want this badly, regardless of current address.

things to note:

World Cup - Team Canada represented by Hearn and Fritsche. interesting that De Laet not there. Not sure why.

Ames hanging on, barely making or missing cuts. Have to think he is just biding his time until he turns 50 next spring.

Spittle and Rutledge outside the top 30 on the Champions Tour. Rutledge really fell off after the first quarter of the season. Really struggled with his game. No idea why. Hope he has one more season left in him, but he'll have to go via Q-School to get it.
