At least the action is continuous and not punctuated by breaks every play like Football and Baseball - the real snorefests.
Yep. You know what else? I don't post in those threads (nor does anyone else who hates them, I skimmed through). If you don't like this sport, stay the eff out of here.

Today was the first game I watched more than 10 seconds of this WC. I was reminded why I can't watch soccer anymore. Pathetic and embarrassing displays of sportsmanship. Diving left and right. I'd rather watch a movie to see some great acting.
I played soccer over 10 years and stopped in University. I still don't mind saying that people who stereotype the sport with terms like "soft", "Divers", etc are right.
These guys are like a bunch of girls rolling around in "pain", yet are fine within 10 seconds. First thing they all do is look for the ref when they get knocked down.
What a fresh take.

What a crappy game to punctuate a crappy World Cup. Felt like there was a whistle every minute. No flow, no excitement, no anything. And the end was just a joke. Can't understand why this sport is so popular. Hasn't anyone woke up to the fact that it's boring as all hell?
Proof please? While not greatest I thought Italy were ok.
Won 6 games, 13 goals, beat the hosts along the way.
Stop being biased. If Italy had won this World Cup scoring 8 goals you'd be all over them no matter how they played. So why does Spain get special treatment? As was said earlier, 3 of the most outrageous dives in the tournament.

It was like watching a whole team of Luongos winning the cup.
I'm interested to see if any players careers are going to get ramped up by their WC performance. Usually there are at least a couple non big name players who get pretty nice transfers afterwords.
Haven't been following the transfer gossip though I did hear rumours of Forlan to Spurs and then shot down.
Ugh well we lose to the eventual wc winner two tourneys in a row.... Ya for being the Bridesmaid fat friend...
