Fingers crossed the bulk of the snow holds off until after the morning commute. AccuWeather says it'll really start around 9am.

I let a guy down at work at the snow will make me look like a real prick. Which of course means it’ll snow a ####tonne tomorrow morning, sorry guys.

From what I'm seeing on Weather Network, the majority comes later in the day and into the evening/overnight.

Tuesday is already going to be by far my quietest work day of the week, I may just stay home depending how bad it is.

All the snow is happening over less than two days and then it'll be clear but cold for an extended period.

Fingers crossed the roads retain enough warmth to melt that initial snowfall. If it does, then we'll be in the clear.

I'll take a sheet of white stuff on the grass as long as the roads stay bare.

From the article:

"However, the Old Farmer's Almanac is predicting a long, cold winter."

Seals the deal for me, It's going to be a warm winter, but with that comes a lot of snow

I'll laugh if there's record level precipitation despite the alleged dry and mild conditions that el nino is supposed to bring. It would be on point as far as trying to predict Calgary goes.

Well, a typical el nino moves the artic jet stream to the north and east so it will be warmer, problem is for Calgary because of the proximity to the mountains the warmer weather can shoot more snow our way. I think we're another winter away from the full el nino anyway.

We have tiny amounts of what looks like snow, in a few places in the yard, but it's just accumulated ice pellets. The vehicle windows were coated in ice, the railings - I went out & threw some ice melt down on the sidewalks. I'd rather have just the snow than this ice nonsense.

10-15cm on top of freezing rain should make for a fun afternoon.

Saw a map that had "extreme" risk of snow from the northern tip of Calgary northward, while the rest of Calgary was yellow or moderate.

Based on that, the south seeing rain and north seeing snow at this point makes sense?
