Started okay for the first minute or two. Injury to Scheifle really hurt their momentum...for whatever weird reason. What, are we too nice now? Just no killer instinct. Nobody likes to see a star player get hurt, but you have to take advantage of that. Instead, just let Winnipeg get angry and take it to them for the next 10 minutes.

Finally picked up the play near the end, but I worry that this team is too full of nice guys. Happy to play a nice game of shinny, but not willing to get dirty and muck it up if needed.

The Flames have focused on good character individuals, which I agree is a good thing, but sometimes you need some a$$holes to actually get the team playing hard enough to win. If Tkachuk is your only guy, you won't go far.

This is why I think they should have Rinaldo play a little more. He had just 1 minute in that period. What's the point of dressing him if you don't use him?

Every thing else has been the garbage perimeter crap we’re used to.

I’m sure they’ll put on their solid 2nd half of the game effort, and because the Jets are so bad and we’re only down 1-0 we have a good shot at winning this #%^*.

...but that period was the typical emotionless trash we’re used to.

We are only down 1 goal after a weak period. We spent a quarter of that period on the PK. They are missing their top center (and IMO their best player)
