Could have been worse I guess. Was feeling pretty dire for a stretch after the goal sitting on 1 shot. Pathetic attempt at at powerplay too. Looked like more intensity at the end thankfully.

The issue is they're both absolutely terrible. Reider brings speed, Janko brings pk. But neither is a good player.

I'm at least 15 minutes behind, but the waive out was weird. The other linesman blew it. I'm not sure if it's because the Flames were slow/late bringing out their guys? Or because of how they were lined up?
Tiny thing, but lead to a goal within seconds...

I guess it could have been worse but that was pretty much what I expected so far. This team lost its mojo a while back and it hasn’t changed much since. Hopefully they can build some actual momentum in the second

Other than the PK, that was an incredibly disappointing start for the Flames. They'd better find another gear quickly, or this will be a very short series.

They need to play the body a bit more. In the final 5 I saw many times they let up when they should have finished their checks. This is not a normal play-in series every hit matters.
