Child, please. I got sin binned at Calgarypuck for getting upset on twitter (which happened after I was in the bin)? Try to follow along, guy.
I wasn't going to say anything at all about it but since there is a guy like you still trying to get their licks in I'll address all this and the many hilarious incorrect assumptions and funny side taking that happened in this thread. Watching posters like you jump to conclusions was pretty funny. Hopefully the mods don't mind and after this we can move on.
I got banned for something that happened in a PM I sent, I used a swear word. We can debate if that deserved a month off but it happened, that's the decision and it's fine at the end of the day I'm a long time member of this forum but it's not mine. Annoying but I sucked it up and took it. What happened next with Roger Millions is a whole nother ball of wax and has little to do with it.
I was banned, fine, cool not really a big deal. What was really annoying was the next morning seeing Roger Millions coming here, attempting to bait me, knowing full well I couldn't reply here and using my real name in an attempt do to do. It sucked guys like you in, it was a simple bulling tactic by Roger. Some posts here suggested I looked like a bully for getting upset on twitter but coming on an open forum like this and using a guys personal information to rile him up his just wrong. Whose the bully in that situation? The fact rmillions wasn't given a ban for that is pretty baffling but again, not my forum.
All that is ignoring the flat out lies Millions made about the situation between the two of us. Roger doesn't like me, that's cool, I'm not a fan of him on a personal level either but when he lies about our adorable coffee date that's another thing too. Guys like you ate it up rather easily, pathetic really. rmillions doesn't like criticism about Sportsnet, that's his employer and he's a loyal guy, I get it but too bad. It's cool that he engages us at time but it doesn't put him on another level. Roger threw out this meeting up for coffee idea once or twice and I was totally down for it. I said name the time and he never got back to me, no biggie, we're both busy guys with our own careers and lives outside of that. I mentioned Roger in a tweet several months after that again, in reply to a trade IIRC, Millions then brought up the coffee idea again. I told him sure, direct message me on twitter so we can make plans, I told him to follow me on twitter so I could reply to his message, he never did. That's not a big deal, he has a lot of interactions of twitter I'm sure due to his media status. Something similar happened again, we interacted he mentioned the coffee meet up, I again said let me know.
That's as far as it ever got, me saying okay Roger, let's make plans and him not making plans. I don't fault him for that, but to make it seem like I've been avoiding him is a downright fallacy and he only did that to feed guys like you, guys easily swayed in situations like this.
Whose the bad guy in a situation like this, who is the real a-hole of a person? The guy who got banned for using a swear or the guy who posted personal private information about someone knowing full well he couldn't defend himself? Who is the real bully?
Tinordi got his licks in too, that's fine that's his style but he was sin binned just a week prior to when I was and I didn't take any shots while he was out.
Like several posters corrected said, I don't take myself or Calgarypuck too seriously so it was slightly embarrassing to lose my cool on twitter and Roger but the anger I showed towards him was fairly justified. I don't like you as a poster Flash but I can guarantee if I knew your name, address, work, or any personal information about you I wouldn't use that information to try to get a rise out of you. I can be an ahole at times but that is a level of scummy I wouldn't stoop too and that's what set me off. What was Roger's end goal with all of this? The internet tough guy act that Yeah_Baby pointed out was correct, what was Roger trying to prove "I got a surprise for him!", seriously Roger?
I've got zero desire to be in the spotlight, I don't want to be on TV, if Roger wants to meet for coffee and talk man-to-man that's awesome, that's what we discussed but what was he planning, to show up with a camera crew? What would the headline have been "Guy said something mean on the internet, tune into Sportsnet @noon for full details"
I have nothing but respect for Roger as a broadcast, I think he is a good host, good interviewer and has a passion for his job, but as a person I am done. He showed a real ugly side of himself that I just don't care to see. I found the entire surprise someone with a camera crew thing downright creepy and using private personal information about a guy in an attempt to bait him, when he couldn't defend himself as the height of childish bullying behaviour.
Not happy I lost my cool but get the time line and the facts straight.
Hope that made sense and cleared up some things. Like most Canadians I am a little tipsy this morning and the gf is wondering why I've spent the last 5 minutes typing this up instead of going for a nap.

You typed all that in 5 minutes?! Impressive!
